Had gone to Boston Acura and got a quote of $2,000 under invoice. Told them I would think about it. Next day, I said that I was ready to buy if they would throw in some accessories (all season mats, wheel locks, splash guards). No way they said, already too close to their cost. Gave Connolly a call to see if the smaller but more local dealer could beat the big Boston dealer. They were glad to help and gave me a offer with all of the requested accessories @ $31,900. Probably could have squeezed a few more dollars but I think $2,100 under invoice plus the accessories was a worthwhile deal. Polished Metal with Taupe. Thanks to all the posts I read while researching the car. They saved me me $1000s!! :shades: Felt good to get a good deal after the hangover for the last week after the Super Bowl fiasco :cry: Good Luck!

I'm quite frankly shocked by some of these dealers i.e. Boston and Pime Acura. Apparently they think we are idiots and do not know we are in a recession. I'm leaning towards waiting a bit as I think prices will come down and incentives will be better. IMO the sales figures cannot be good.

2008 MDX Technology in Boston: by mkannare on Sun Nov 04 17:48:36 PST 2007; We purchased a 2008 MDX with Technology package for $40,000 from First Acura in Seekonk, MA. They were running a very aggresive sales campaign this past weekend. The internet sales manager was very easy to work with. We were earlier considering to purchase from Herb Connoly Acura in Framingham, MA. However, when it came time to discuss pricing, they quoted the Invoice at $40,900 whereas everyone else was quoting $40,403. They attributed the mark-up to "port charges". Had never heard of such a thing before. Anyway, it supports the comments made in Message 5549.

08 Sport/Ent in Boston area: by jsfox1999 on Mon Oct 22 09:39:58 PDT 2007; Just bought last weekend and thought I'd share my experience in case it may help someone. I'm actually from NH but with only 2 dealers in the state I ended up searching the MA dealers as well. Salesperson at Claire in N. Hampton was great but sales manager was a jerk. They also could not compete with the prices of the Nashua (sunnyside) or MA dealers. Of the MA dealers Bernardi in Brighton was by far the most professional and straightforward. Peabody was great to deal with but not so great on the price. Herb Connelly in Framingham seemed very deceptive to me and while their pricing was in the ballpark I just got a bad feeling from the way they did business. I ended up buying in Nashua because they offered a good deal (although I bet I could have got Bernardi to beat it by a little) and I prefer to keep my money in state. : 08 MDX sport/ent in sterling/taupe: roof rack cross bars all season mats sport running boards cargo tray cargo net side moldings third wireless headset Total price $46.6 including a $200 doc fee (that I had them take off the price of the car)

Several colors were available. Called several Acura dealers in Boston Area this was best quote I could find. Lots of inventory still available. Several dealers have over 40 2006 MDX's on the lot still! They also included free wheel locks and 10% off accessories and 2 years regular maintenance. Dealt with Internet Sales Manager. Very helpful, and professional, no pressure. My local dealer Lewis Acura in Vermont agreed to match this price but not the extras. Also dealt with the Internet sales manager there. Also very helpful, professional and agreed to get the color I wanted. Wound up getting a 2007 Pilot EX-L instead as we liked some features on the Pilot better and got a great price of $29,899 on the new Pilot. :) Thanks to all on this board for the great advice and suggestions.

I offered to buy a new RL from Herb Connolly's internet sales manager for the same price today. This was their response: "Regarding the deal in question the customer did infact pay $40,700 plus fees, but they did not include the fact that they had a trade in. The vehicle they traded in was something we saw good value in it for resale, so that is how they were able to get such an amazing deal." I interpret their response as "No we cannot sell you a 2006 RL for that price". Any additional info. regarding your purchase would be helpful. 69cv
