Try a different dealer or two, see if they are members of the same "union." When I bought my '05 TL in Boston area (at invoice), I wanted a base TL. No pro packs, vinyl roofs, pinstripes, spoilers, rust and dust, mop and glow, extended warranty. I had no problem buying such a car without any pressure to add such (to me) frivolities. However, YM, and region, MV... ;) Good luck.

Re: Base TL no Nav in MA [sdtx]: by markspinosa on Tue Mar 11 18:46:25 PDT 2008; I bought my TL at Acura of Boston in Brighton, MA. I bought an '06 TL w/ Nav AT brand new for $32,750 when invoice was $35,325, so I guess that may hold as accurate.

Base TL no Nav in MA: by sdtx on Tue Mar 11 11:37:33 PDT 2008; Hi, I've been following this forum for a while and in the market now for a base 08 TL w/o Nav. There is some invaluable information in this forum and I hope to share my buying experience once it's all said and done. Based on all the posts here, it seems I should be looking at Invoice-2K as a base price for negotiations. Can anyone confirm that? Anyone has experience with dealerships in the Boston area? Followed all post for several weeks. Seems price is getting down in some states. I am going to wait for lower and fare offers in several month. It is worth to wait due to this chilly econormic situation forseeing. Is it worth to get a descent offer from the dealers outside MA? Like Maryland can offer an invoice as just posted.Please keep me posted if you guys get any offer around. I am looking for something close to invoice.

Re: acura tl purchase [schell2]: by lwarren on Sat Feb 09 18:55:34 PST 2008; Just bought the TL w/Nav at Herb Connolly in Framingham, MA. Had gone to Boston Acura and got a quote of $2,000 under invoice. Told them I would think about it. Next day, I said that I was ready to buy if they would throw in some accessories (all season mats, wheel locks, splash guards). No way they said, already too close to their cost. Gave Connolly a call to see if the smaller but more local dealer could beat the big Boston dealer. They were glad to help and gave me a offer with all of the requested accessories @ $31,900. Probably could have squeezed a few more dollars but I think $2,100 under invoice plus the accessories was a worthwhile deal. Polished Metal with Taupe. Thanks to all the posts I read while researching the car. They saved me me $1000s!! :shades: Felt good to get a good deal after the hangover for the last week after the Super Bowl fiasco :cry: Good Luck!

I'm quite frankly shocked by some of these dealers i.e. Boston and Pime Acura. Apparently they think we are idiots and do not know we are in a recession. I'm leaning towards waiting a bit as I think prices will come down and incentives will be better. IMO the sales figures cannot be good.
