Buying a car from a Acura Car Dealer
wow, one of the best deals recently. fitzram, could you please tell me the name of the dealership? I'm trying to get one in Tampa Bay Area. Thanks!
That is pretty close to the deal I got last month: 2010 MDX w/ TECH 36 months 15,000 miles/yr Options: Protection Package (wheel locks, cargo tray, and all-season mats) $0 down (no cap cost reduction) Out of pocket costs: Total of $1350 (Aquisition fee, first month, and tag/title transfer) Payment: $608 plus tax
Shell game? I'm sure he structured it that way, like most people, since that is around the national average of how many miles driven on a yearly basis.
Where are you guys located? I'm down in FL and I was able to get invoice minus dealer cash on my '10 Acura TSX V6. I even had multiple dealers fighting over it and went with the one that threw in the protection package. The dealers up there frankly sound shady, especially if you have to pull teeth just to get an Acura advertised lease deal...That is a big RED FLAG! Good luck guys....
I would get it turned in ASAP given your mileage predicament. If it was me I would pay the overage directly to Honda/Acura and do a straight lease deal. Your paying interest and tax on that overage if its buried into the Lease (could be a few hundred dollars worth). Most people dont know that so if you have the $$ now I would pay direct. Plus you have more negotiation leverage if its a straight lease. Good luck!
