Re: New to leases! Is this a good deal? [tarobapp] by beach15 on Sun Feb 05 16:01:35 PST 2012

Invoice on a MDX Tech/Ent is NOT $44466...unless you leave out the destination charge of $885. That is part of the price of the vehicle, and should never be removed or shown separately. Add $885...better idea of the number.

Re: 2012 TSX base model in NJ [dxxvi] by beach15 on Sun Dec 11 08:58:43 PST 2011

Never, ever compare OTD pricing. Taxes, tag/registration fees, etc are hugely different between states and even cities (Philadelphia vs. suburbs tax, for instance). Only the actual pre-tax, pre-fee pricing. In the case of New Jersey dealers, tax a look at the dealer document fees as well vs. surrounding areas. Have you made a deal yet or are you still playing dealer games? What specific TSX are you looking to get, base or Tech and what color? What final realistic number are you trying to be at to stop shopping?

Re: 2012 MDX lease vs GL450 lease [am1199] by beach15 on Sun Dec 11 08:55:01 PST 2011

The current lease rates/residuals on the MDX are quite aggressive, but as even when there was inventory earlier in the year, there is no inventory now and still no need for additional cash incentives. Mercedes operates differently with highly cash incentivized programs, depending on your qualifications, which initially makes it seem payments are close--but look at the overall ownership costs vehicle to vehicle, lease fees, etc. and compare as well. There just is no inventory, given current end of year demand and lower production, so additional incentives are not necessary. Is your 2008 MDX paid off or coming off lease?

Re: Cancel leased car [john_smith01] by beach15 on Sun Dec 11 08:54:08 PST 2011

Why do you not think you've gotten a good deal? MDX inventory is extremely low, and the rates are still aggressive. Just because someone on Edmunds posted a "deal" with seemingly lower or otherwise numbers does not make it reality. If you were uncomfortable at the time of signing, you wouldn't have signed. It's bad business to make a deal and then back out because you think about it after the fact, and I'm sure it is not a bad deal. You can always cancel, have a deposit refunded or otherwise, but why? If your deal was "bad" you wouldn't have done it. What color are they getting for you?

Re: New Incentive [smitty1krr] by beach15 on Sun Nov 27 12:37:07 PST 2011

Flex cash is variable, if and when used by dealer. The 0.9% for 60 months started 11/23 through the 30th and is only on TSX sedans and TL's. The MDX does not have any other cash program, and financing is 0.9% for up to 36 or 1.9% for up to 60. Given the lack of new MDX inventory now, at the time of year with usually the highest demand, the deal is one factor but an actually available MDX is more so.
