Re: 2010 RDX AWD with Tech package in socal [skn1]
by shivaswrath on Mon Dec 14 11:21:41 PST 2009
I live in CT and recently went through the hassle of getting a 2010 RDX and price shopping was WICKED difficult. WITHOUT tech, my 2010 in Polished Metal Mettalic came to about $33.8k at Devan Acura in Norwalk, CT. Greenwich Acura quoted me $33.6k. (doc fee $139) Executive Acura in North Haven quoted me $33k. (Doc fee $400) HERE's the catch on ALL dealers in the CT/NY/NJ area: the "document" fee. I haggled them down to $139 on the doc fee, lowest I found anywhere. Reason I went with $33.8k was that I got free oil changes on the LIFE of my 2010 RDX, and at $111 (incl tax) every 5k, that's a lot of saved money for me. That, and convenience of location and discounted service since I bought from them (~10%). With a solid trade in, I'm pretty happy. . . Only issue is my new RDX has a slight NVH in the seat belt around 2200rpm. . .think it needs a little rubber bushing or something, no biggie, just surprising given Acura's high QA.
Bought my MDX Tech today!

Paid $39.5K + $299 doc fee + $75 title + $50 registration + $2,468.75 MA sales tax @6.25% . OTD =$42,392.75 (before dwn pmt of $2K). put $2K down and got the 2.9% int rate. Can't say enough good things abotu Schaller Acura in Manchester, CT. Very smooth and easy, no pressure process. I had called around a lot of dealerships in New England. They had the best price and the expact color combo I wanted. Spent about 10 min with the fincance guy (who was great) and that was it. Since I live in MA they are getting it registered for me and to driving it to my house to save me haveing to drive to them a second time in CT. :)
Acura TL AWD with Tech Lease Question
by bd2000 on Thu Sep 03 13:13:43 PDT 2009
So here is my scenario. I agreed to lease a 2009 TL AWD w/ Tech that was not yet on the lot with the idea being that the dealer had committed to their Acura Rep to take 5 TL AWD with Tech when built in late August. I got the color (int/ext) I wanted and no one in the new england (Ct, RI, MA, NH) had the color I wanted. The dealer called me today to tell me that the cars were built but that Acura had made these 2010s and therefore the $2000 dealer incentive was gone (since it was only on 2009s). They told me the residual went up (which is good for my lease price) but the money factor had gone up significantly and therefore increased my price on the car...by about 40 bucks/month I have 2 Questions: First, has anybody else gotten this story and second if the money factor on leases did indeed change this year...(2010 models)? thanks for your help!

So basically they are pocketing the $2000 and the 2% dealer hold back. We are in the same boat, dealers here in Fairfiled and New Haven County CT are doing the same, they are not sharing any of the $2K available.
Re: Price on a lightly used certified 2008 TL [skgolfer]
by wareco on Thu Jan 22 17:58:49 PST 2009
FWIW, I recently came across a white, 2008 TL with Nav and rear camera with 2,600 miles for $26,995 in Bloomfield, Ct. I considered buying it and trucking to my home state of Fl. after my local dealer insisted on getting $31,800 for a new one. Wife tells me she doesn't want a white car, so forget that. The car can be seen at theautopro.com
