Re: Canada [kyfdx] - Acura MDX incentives and purchase price
by khajokh on Wed Nov 11 08:02:11 PST 2009
kyfdx, >> Those incentives are for Canada, not the US.. You can look up current incentives right here on Edmunds.com. With all due respect, I don't think Edmunds is updated at all. Even my local acura dealer is willing to admit that they have incentives of more than 2k. Edmunds says that there are no incentives at all. As I have always maintained, I don't know what the true incentives are, and the website I referenced earlier may be referring to incentives only to Canada. But we are intelligent enough to guess what is the true dealer cost in USA from prices that various buyers are getting and posting on this forum. It is extremely difficult to accept dealer's word or simple 'assurances' of people of other poster's on the board. Here is a small compilation of purchases from this board: Tech: 1) kechal, purchase price= 39.5k; location : manchester, ct, when=9-Nov; 2) suharsh, purchase price= 38.7k, location =chicago, when: 7-Nov; 3) surfin, purchase price= 39.7k + 599 (destination?), location =jacksonville, when = 9-Nov; Tech/ent: 1) sarav, purchase price= 41k location = pohanka, va, when = 7-Nov (likely deal was done prior to nov 4??); 2) ucar, purchase price= 39.6+810 (destination), location = ??, when = 10-Nov base 1) lexluthor, purchase price= 34.1k, location =pohanka, va, when = 7-Nov, deal was done prior to nov 4 2) cplin, purchase price= 34.5k, location = naperville, ilwhen = 7-Nov; 3) michele19, purchase price= 36.9, location = ?? (Price included accessories such roof rack, kayak etc==> purchase price was in35.5k top 36k range; Except for one all of them compare well with the price range that I had arrived at earlier after assuming that dealers are getting a 8500/- incentive (and not passing on to buyer's) Base - 34k-35k Sports/Ent - 42k-43k Sports - 40k-41k Tech - 38k-39k Tech/Ent - 40k-41k Assuming that none of these deals resulted in a loss to the dealers concerned, there are two additional things to notice 1) the incentives do not appear to end on 4 Nov as was discussed on the board 2) the incentives do not appear to be specific to some high-volume dealers such as Pohanka, VA dealer - it is all over the country Congratulations to the above buyers for their great bargaining skills. ucar, getting a tech/ent for 39.6+810 destination is a great deal. This number is almost identical to what I gave my dealer. Would you be willing to share the location and dealership of purchase ?
Bought my MDX Tech today!

Paid $39.5K + $299 doc fee + $75 title + $50 registration + $2,468.75 MA sales tax @6.25% . OTD =$42,392.75 (before dwn pmt of $2K). put $2K down and got the 2.9% int rate. Can't say enough good things abotu Schaller Acura in Manchester, CT. Very smooth and easy, no pressure process. I had called around a lot of dealerships in New England. They had the best price and the expact color combo I wanted. Spent about 10 min with the fincance guy (who was great) and that was it. Since I live in MA they are getting it registered for me and to driving it to my house to save me haveing to drive to them a second time in CT. :)
MDX with Tech
by stimmyjimmy on Fri May 29 19:39:53 PDT 2009
Just purchased a 2009 MDX with Tech for $39,800 included destination but add tax title and $50 doc fee. in upstate NY. not great..but average. My 2003 XC90 with 150,000 miles, which I loved, completely died and bearings spun in engine..dead car. So was in a hurry to buy. Best offer was from Manchester, CT dealership for 39, 400. Seemed like good guys. At end of day, I needed car quick so I paid the extra $400 and bought locally ( 10 miles from house), which I eventually probably coulda gotten lower, but wasn't worth buying out of state 3 hours away. The upstate NY Dealer didn't have what I wanted, but in 48 hours they located and delivered what I wanted..silver with taupe interior. I am not sure whether to purchase extended service contract for $2,183 or the pre paid 48/48k Maintenance program for $ 1, 389. I drive 20-25k miles / year in my sales job..any input on these programs would be appreciated
Re: Acura RDX base for 29k USD? [chad74]
by stargazrx8 on Wed Mar 04 15:47:20 PST 2009
DCH Heart Acura in Wappingers Falls, NY (Dutchess County) has the lowest price in the NYC area (75 mile radius) ... internet price is $32K for RDX w/tech pkg but there's some bargaining room. Schaller Acura in Manchester CT is selling same for ~$32.9K (next best price I've found). The rebate has been extended to end of March. However, as others noted, the 2009 selection is getting pretty slim. BTW, the 2010 will have the TL/MDX style grille (common Acura face across product line) which I am not a big fan of ... yet. It will make its debut this March at the NY International Auto show.
Re: 2008 TL-S in CT [whit5]
by tenbelow on Sat Sep 27 17:12:23 PDT 2008
Hi Gary, I bought my Type-S at Acura by Executive, but it was their last Type-S in stock. Another dealer I was working with that is closer to MA is Schaller Acura in Manchester, CT - they were straightforward and easy to work with - price was $200 more on the car, but $100 less on the conveyance fee - so a matter of $100 more, but pricing may be easier to get lower as Schaller had a much larger inventory of 08' TLs than Executive. Good luck and if you get a Type-S you won't be sorry, it is a great car!
Acura MDX Fees and Accessories
by freedomnow on Sun Mar 23 18:11:16 PDT 2008
I am trying to purchase an MDX. The dealer is telling me they have a Dealer Conveyance Fee of $349. Is this bogus? Appears to be the old prep fee. Also what should I expect to pay for assessories? I see a price on the Acura site. Is this the price I will be paying. The dealer also appears to want to add labor on these so that I would be paying over $900 for back up sensor which lists for $582. can someone provide feedback on Acura of Avon (CT). Which are the best dealers in this area (North Haven, Berlin, Manchester, Avon). Appreciate any and all feedback.
