Re: 2010 RDX AWD with Tech package in socal [skn1]
by shivaswrath on Mon Dec 14 11:21:41 PST 2009
I live in CT and recently went through the hassle of getting a 2010 RDX and price shopping was WICKED difficult. WITHOUT tech, my 2010 in Polished Metal Mettalic came to about $33.8k at Devan Acura in Norwalk, CT. Greenwich Acura quoted me $33.6k. (doc fee $139) Executive Acura in North Haven quoted me $33k. (Doc fee $400) HERE's the catch on ALL dealers in the CT/NY/NJ area: the "document" fee. I haggled them down to $139 on the doc fee, lowest I found anywhere. Reason I went with $33.8k was that I got free oil changes on the LIFE of my 2010 RDX, and at $111 (incl tax) every 5k, that's a lot of saved money for me. That, and convenience of location and discounted service since I bought from them (~10%). With a solid trade in, I'm pretty happy. . . Only issue is my new RDX has a slight NVH in the seat belt around 2200rpm. . .think it needs a little rubber bushing or something, no biggie, just surprising given Acura's high QA.
Re: Any 2008 TL in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San antonio [whit5]

Agreed that Milford Acura isn't the greatest dealership in CT. I shopped throughout CT and NY when shopping for my 2008 (TL with Nav) and Milford was not high on my list based on price and the sales guys. Not to mention that they didn't throw in any of the perks the other deals do, like free oil change for life, free car wash every time you bring it in, free loaner car with any major service, etc. I ended up battling between Greenwich and Norwalk, and Norwalk won my purchase. I have brought the car in for the first oil change and another call and I have nothing but great things to say about them too. So their sales guys are great, and their service is top notch (At least in my first 1 or 2 experiences). Maybe Milford has changed their perks package since then, but these perks are actually really nice. Love getting my car back nice and clean for free, and free oil changes! :)

bill124, you obviously haven't lived in the NY area very long...if you did, you would already know that the NY/NJ/CT economy is unlike any other in the world and virtually impervious to stock market fluctuations and gas prices...I'm talking about the Westchester, Fairfield, Nassau and Suffolk county crowds...ask the small business owners and soccer moms in Scarsdale, NY or Greenwich, CT if they give a crap about $4/gallon gas when they are filling up their gas guzzling Land Rovers, Hummers or X5 Bimmers...I think NOT.
2007 MDX Tech / Ent in NY/CT/NJ
by jeff7 on Tue Aug 28 14:33:52 PDT 2007
After an exhaustive search trying to find a MDX Tech/Ent in the NY/NJ/CT area (looking for color - Silver or Blue w/ Taupe and a good price) I finally went with Park Ave in Maywood. 500 below invoice 42,095 Invoice 744 Running Boards -500 Below Invoice (discount) 42,339 TOTAL 2007 MDX Silver w/ Taupe - Tech/Ent w/ Running Boards 36 Month Lease / 10k miles per year through American Honda Finance - at .00209 money rate Cap Cost ~42,339 (plus approx. $230 in the lease for Title and CT Registration). Residual is 26,188. Monthly Payment is $634.64 (includes CT tax @ 6%) Drive off cost is $1529.28 (595 Finance Fee, 249 Doc Fee, 50.64 Tax on Doc and Finance Fee, 634.64 First Month Payment) Good experiences with Acura of Ramsey and Morande Acura in Berlin CT - professional and easy to deal with. Bad Experience with Paragon in Woodside, NY(never returned a call - terrible service - still couldn't get a price after 2 days) - Read other reviews on them - seems like they are scam artists. Greenwich Acura, Acura of Westchester, Rallye Acura and Acura of Valley Stream were all at least $1-2k higher - and not willing to budge. Hope this is helpful. Thanks for other posts - definely able to help me get a good deal.
2006 MDX premium
by cars16 on Tue Sep 05 20:30:01 PDT 2006
Just finished paper work and pick it up from dealer in NJ for premium model. (no DVD, no nav. no touring) $30,650 (incl. Destination) $2145.5 (NJ sales TAX) $ 298 Documentation $351 Registration Total $ 33,444.5 OTD If you want to share your info, specify like this to be helpful to others. I owe a lot from this forum so I am sharing. Try to get 2.9% rather than 4.9%. you will save more than $1000. ( I failed to get it. 4.9%/5 years) --Overall experience Springfield-- heard many bad things. I got a quote also. try to contact with final price, but can't be reached. so I didn't even visit there. Park Ave.-- Usually about $900 higher than lowest. Can't rely on 100%. One dealer contacted me with price. When I try to finalize, he sent email with $1000 higher price and just said he doesn't remember or it might be a mistake. bridgewater, Mahwah, Ramsey, Greenwich CT-- not cheap. ----- I don't want to post my dealer shop because i am not working for them.
CT Acura Dealers

Posted awhile back about a visit to Devan Acura of Norwalk. Since them, I've been to Executive in North Haven and Acura of Milford, and have talked price with NH internet mgr only. I have no desire to visit Greenwich Acura (nor any other car dealership in Greenwich, generally). Executive was really great to work with, while Devan was kind of 'if not you someone else', and Acura of Milford seemed more interested in badmouthing the fact that the local Toyota dealer was pushing more Camrys out per month than they'd sold in TLs all year. North Haven offered 33,490 for an '06 automatic with NAVI. Add on 6.5% sales tax plus the 'destination fee' and you're approaching 36K. The dealer assured me that the price was good for any Acura he could find in the tri-state area (i.e., color/interior combo I want that is still available). Sticker on the car was 35.9K, so I figure they are quoting about $500 over invoice. I am going to try and get the 2.9% financing for 48-60 months through Honda, and think I'll get it because it seems that in CT there is a *TON* of '06 inventory sitting around doing nothing.
