Re: 2008 Base TL - $29,100 [astro13]

I'm getting quotes in Littleton, CO for the TL Base Model (no Nav) for $29,315 + dealer handling of $389 + TTL. Is this a decent deal or should I be expected further discounts? This is the cash price no financing avaialble. They want to add $2,500 if we add any financing tot he deal (which seems silly). Thoughts?

That sounds like a great deal. Doc fees are typical for the Acura dealers where I am also. Additionally they are part of a rocky mountain advertising co-op and they all charge a $300 advertising charge. I got out the door for $500 over invoice + $300 for the advertising charge, which I felt was the best deal possible as they all try to hit you with the "protection package" also and I had managed to get this price on the color my wife wanted. Sounds like a great deal I don't see any reason you wouldn't pull the trigger.

I'm getting just about the exact same price for these two vehicles comparably equipped (this is in Boulder Colorado). Any thoughts on their relative strengths and weaknesses? (I'm going to do a 36-month lease).
Re: Houston Area RDX price quote [dishwash42]

Was at the Chicago Auto Show and started thinking about the RDX. The Auto Show website has RDX offers for base at $30,600. Awesome deal! However, I am moving to CO from Chicago and I don't want to pay taxes twice, so I will wait to purchase when I move in June. Here is a link to their RDX (Arlington Acura in Palatine, IL) priced just over $30K. Great price for this car! http://www.drivechicago.com/heart.php?setsub=3725&vehicle_id=262339&passed_make=- Acura (if the link doesn't work, go to www.drivechicago.com and search for Acura RDX). Since Acura isn't hitting targets on the RDX, they are offering deals, which I believe is a first for Acura. Incentives weren't in the Acura dialogue a year or two ago.
Springfield Acura

Anyone here dealt with Springfield Acura of NJ, if so what would you say of there pricing/reputation ? I was told some bad things about their honesty by a co-worker of mine but this was an issue that happened over 2 years ago (they assured me that they changed management and strive to be honest) so i wanted to see how they will treat me now. I was quoted $44,800 on a Sport/Ent '08 and i am not sure if that is the best deal i can get on that package. -Kurt P.s. I decided to use handa-accessories.com to get my accessories at a better price (when i can afford to do so), though i am not sure where i can get the parts installed after anyone else doing this ?
Test driving TL & TL-S tomorrow
by ideadirect on Fri Jan 04 21:29:00 PST 2008
I'll be going in for a test drive tomorrow in Boulder, CO. I got a quote from a dealer for: TL Base = 30,384 + tax TL-S = 35,884 The cars direct price for both these are: TL Base = 30,805 TL-S = 34,932. The TMV price is: TL Base = 29,934 TL-S = 34,420 The dealer price includes $389 Dealer Handling and subtracts out the $2000 dealer incentive. The quote for the TL price from the dealer seems fair but I'm a bit disappointed in the TL-S quote. Looks like they want to move more base TL. The dealer seemed fair so I'm not really interested in shopping dealers and the time involved since the quote seems reasonable. I also hope they are reasonable with my trade-in (BMW 325xi). I think a fair value is the trade-in value from KBB or NADA. I am 99% sold on the Acura but am also considering a Lexus IS250 AWD, Subaru Legacy 3.0R, Camry Hybrid. I commute from Fort Collins, CO to Cheyenne which is about 60 miles each way and the winter weather (snow, ice, very windy) is pretty treacherous which is why the preference for AWD. I want a super reliable car that I can put 35K miles on each year that is safe in winter but also fun to drive. I'm leaning towards the Acura because of the incentives and the great deal. I could wait for the 2009 with SH-AWD but I would probably be paying $4000 more (close to MSRP for new model). My BMW xi is superb and amazing in winter especially with snow tires. I would keep it but with my new job and commute, I worry about putting so many miles on this car over the next 3-5 years. Tough decision... We'll see what the dealer says tomorrow.
