Acura TL AWD & Tech Lease by mikevi7 on Sun Feb 12 06:49:50 PST 2012

Hi Car_Man, I am looking at leasing a 2012 TL AWD & Tech Package - 3 yr/12k miles per year. Can you give me the MF and residual on this? Also, is it best to wait until President's Day weekend for extra incentives? Anyone else: I am trying to get a deal at about $475 per month (tax included) with only about $1,500 total down (including Tax, Title, License). I am going to try and negotiate about $5k off $43,770 msrp, Using cap cos of $38,770, a .00098MF and a 57% Residual I get to $477 per month. Of course I will then have to come up with about $1,500-1,750 to put down. Has anyone gotten a deal like this? Or can you do better? Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems that you have been having getting your dream vehicle, dreamnofmdx. Try not to be too upset. Not only do you seem to be on the right track in your negotiations, but there's plenty of fish in the sea...er um cars on the road. If you don't get an MDX then you'll get something else that's just as nice. If you don't mind me asking, what was your credit score. I should be able to tell if you qualify for Acura's top credit tier, a lower one, or would indeed need a co-signer by looking at it. As far as this deal goes, the money factor that you were quoted and the selling price of $500 under dealer invoice bother are excellent. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

MDX HELPPPPP by dreamnofmdx on Sat Dec 17 21:05:13 PST 2011

I went into Acura today, after researching for a year!!!! I was finally ready to make a deal. I went in about a month ago, they pulled my credit and were ready to make a deal but I wasn't. I came back today, ready to lease the 2012 MDX tech package. Here was the deal: $2500 down .00143 MF $595/month 36 months After pulling my credit (again) the score went down (awesome!) and this is what they came back with: $658/month $2500 down 48 months WHAT?!!!! No, I only want a 36 month lease and made it very clear I couldn't do more than $600/month. I am so upset and actually ended up crying ( I know, I became so attached, don't judge me! I've wanted this car for so long). First of all, my credit probably went down because the jerks pulled it again. Now they are saying I don't qualify for the special financing. Do I walk? I guess there's nothing they can do or else they would have tried to make the deal right? I left super upset and am still so sad I did't get the car! I'd love any and all feedback. Oh, you should also know they were selling me the car $500 below invoice. They did tell me to come back with a co-signer and we could do the deal. $

2011 MDX w/Adv -- good deal? by flyfisher9 on Thu Jan 27 09:07:09 PST 2011

I'm in CO looking to get an MDX with Advance package. My understanding is that the dealer cost (invoice - 2% holdback) on this car is $46,760. So if I am calculating correctly, an offer that yields the dealer a 3% profit would be $49,023, which is the dealer's cost + 3% + dest charge of $860. Of course, my OTD cost would include taxes/registration, but as far as I can tell any other additional fees are just add-ons to the dealer's profit, right? Am I being too hardball here, or missing anything? So far the offers I've gotten have been closer to $51,200 (pre taxes/registration), so I want to make sure I'm not being too crazy in thinking about it this way. Thanks!

Is this a good deal?? by texastsx on Sat Dec 18 17:27:24 PST 2010

So I'm getting an offer for a new base tsx for $25,562.23 and after TTL (and fees) $27,550. The only thing included is tint and wheel locks. That price does not include the $500 AmEx gift card offer, which essentially nets the offer to $27,050 DO. I've searched far and wide around Texas for someone to beat that price but I just can't find anyone. Do you guys think I should wait for more cash to dealer from the manufacturer? Does anyone actually think the dealer will increase the holdback money from $1250 (plus $500 GC) to more than $1750, which will make it worth the wait? Also, has anyone in NM, OK, AR or LA gotten an offer cheaper walkout than this? All of these Southern states think it's a good idea to have ridiculously high sales taxes for cars and I'm not about to drive to CO for a few hundred bucks. I really appreciate the help!!
