What should I offer for 2010 TL - Tech SH-AWD?
by acuracyclist on Fri Oct 23 11:14:07 PDT 2009
Many of these posts are helpful...thanks for sharing! So, after looking at every AWD car and wagon under the sun, I have finally decided I want the 2010 TL w/ Tech pkg and SH-AWD. but I am confused on what to offer for this vehicle. I live in the San Jose, CA area and will buy from any dealer in N. or Southern CA. I have seen the posts on what many Edumunds buyers got their 2009 TL / Tech / AWD for in the $36k's range in July - Oct. The dealer in Santa Clara (Steven's Creek) told me that there is 1.9% financing on the 10's now, but not the extra dealer cash that was available on the 09's. He has said there is definitely room to negotiate from MSRP and has told me to make an offer that he can present to the sales manager. Given that I don't know, and the sales guy isn't told by mngmnt, what the holdback is, and other volume $$$ incentive that is available to this dealer, How do I know what I should offer? I did the yahoo auto quote offers and got 3 quotes in the $39k -$40k range ($3k-$4k off MSRP) I know we are new in the 2010 model year, so can't expect to get quite as low as the 2009 / $36k pricing, but I am hoping I can get in the $37k-$38k + TTL range. does the host for this forum or anyone else have any idea if this is reasonable, and how i can position my argument and offer with the dealer for best price? I'm a little confused on the various back-end $$$ that flow to an Acura dealer. Thanks for any and all advice. I want to buy in next 14 days, and I will post the price I paid and who i bought from when transaction completed! ">

2009 Acura TSX with Nav
by akhan2 on Wed Jun 03 00:25:45 PDT 2009
Well, I recently upgraded both my cars. I returned a lease on a 06 Nissan Maxima for an 09 Nissan Maxima and about 2 weeks ago i traded the 06 Hummer H3 for an Acura TSX (Can't afford gas or the poor MPG on the Hummer no more). Anyways, Below is what i ended up getting (San Jose, CA dealer) 2009 Acura Tsx (White with Black interior) Automatic with Navigation package 12,000 miles a year MSRP: $33,020 Selling Price: $29,000 MF: .00198 Monthly Payment: $425 (including northern CA 8.25% tax) Drive Off: $1500 (includes first month payment, fees, title, etc etc) One thing i love about ACURA's in general is that the sales/service experience is sooo much better than most other manufacturers. I've dealt with my fair share of Volvo, Hummer, Nissans, BMW's, Acura, and Infiniti dealerships for service n sales before and by far the best experience ive had has been at the Acura and infiniti dealerships (they are too courteous), and Ive always hated being at a Nissan or BMW dealerships. Good luck to all
Acura TL SW-AWD Lease
by sosodef1 on Wed May 13 00:31:55 PDT 2009
Just leased a '09 Acura TL SH-AWD w/Tech Package in SoCal at Santa Monica Acura. Selling price of $36485, $2500 downpayment including fees and first months payment, $1400 of that applied to cap reduction, and payments of $492 including CA tax (outrageously high by the way @ 9.25%). Qualified for their top tier credit. I was dealing with 4 different dealerships, all of whom were offering the regular TL with Tech Package for the same price I got the SH. All those dealerships said they were rock bottom at their prices and were around the same price, then randomly got a phone call from Santa Monica Acura from a message I left and was given the offer I signed with no haggling or negotiation. I feel its a great deal, a beautiful car that is getting looks everywhere, and a stress-free experience once at the dealership. If you live in SoCal, do NOT go to Sierra Acura in Alhambra or deal with their "top salesman" Jerry. These guys are a rip-off and unprofessional. I was dealing with them for awhile and about to close the deal until I got the better offer. I emailed Jerry letting him know I got a better deal and I was disappointed they were charging me the same price for a lesser car and that I would refer future friends and family to Santa Monica Acura. His response:"Thanks for not at least giving us a chance to match the deal. And thanks for wasting our time. You can refer all your friends to Santa Monica and we don't care. Oh, I just sold a used TSX to a mom and daughter who flew in from San Jose to buy a TSX from Santa Monica Acura dealer and guess what, they didn't reserve the car for them knowing they bought the plane ticket, and knowing when they will be flying in, , and the car was sold 15 minutes before they got in. I personally would never buy anything from a dealer like Santa Monica Acura, and by the way you should check to make sure you got a AWD. Good luck!" Funny how dealers will match deals after the fact but won't budge no matter how much negotiating goes on. Even more funny that a dealership that is obviously hurting would let their top salesman talk about prospective clients like this! Needless to say, I did get an AWD, a great deal, want to advise all in SoCal to stay away from Sierra Acura in Alhambra!

No, nothing is missing. Cargo cover is an optional accessory and the MDX Base has Bridgestone tires.
