Re: 2008 Base TL without Navi quote: Is this a good deal? [newbmr] by ktate on Sat Jul 05 08:56:40 PDT 2008

newbmr, That seems like a really good price on the Base w/o Nav. I was after quotes from Bay Area and Central Valley dealers and the lowest I received was about $29,300 (Acura of Pleasanton). Of course this was a cash price without the 0.9% financing. (I was planning on bringing a check from my credit union.) If you're after the Honda financing, then I understand that you can't have the $2,500 off MSRP. Accordingly, your quote of $28,530 should increase to $31,030, but you're saying they're willing to give it to you for $30,531 w/ 0.9% financing? That's not bad! For what it's worth: I ended up buying a used '07 Type-S with 20K for $28,000 through a private party. (Financed through my credit union at 5.85%.) It's a great car, by the way! Good luck.

Re: SF Bay Area dealers.. [sfgman63] by ktate on Tue Jul 01 08:18:47 PDT 2008

Sfgman63, I've had similar troubles with some dealers when emailing them. It's as though they don't check their email or don't know how to check it. Within the last week, I sent two emails to Autobahn Gallery (used dealer in San Jose area) regarding an 07 Type-S but never got a response. I ended up buying one through a private party (07 Type-S w/ 19K for $28,000). I feel like a got a good deal--not a steal--but a good deal. Good luck everyone.

Re: Please advise with pricing on the 08 Non Nav TL [bhag117] by ktate on Sat Jun 21 15:01:36 PDT 2008

bhag, For what it's worth, I've been in communication with several N. California Acura dealers for the past few weeks now. The lowest quote I've received was from the Acura of Pleasanton dealership at $29,300. (Base w/o Nav. and before TTL.) But late-last month, they called and left a message indicating they'd go lower–by how much, I don't know. I'm still shopping, though. Yesterday, an '07 Type S with 15K miles closed on eBay for $27,100 so I'm being patient and weighing my options. Plus, I'm curious to see what kind of deals the manufacturer will put out on July 1. Good luck with your purchase. Kevin Modesto, CA

Re: Acura TL price in Northern CA [astro13] by ktate on Sat May 31 07:20:27 PDT 2008

$29,385 is what I was quoted a few days ago by a dealer in Pleasanton, CA. But yesterday, another individual from the same dealership called me and said if I buy before 7PM today, they would go lower than what I was quoted. How much lower?... I don't know as I haven't called back yet. Some on this forum have mentioned getting their base TLs for close to 28K so I think I'll continue to wait through June and see which dealer in this area (Northern CA) wants to approach that price. (They all have my phone number now and seem to follow-up regularly.) Good luck.

Re: 2008 Acura TL Base Model / no Nav / purch price [acuradriver3] by ktate on Mon May 26 21:33:56 PDT 2008

Acuradriver3, My mistake: The $2500 I'm referring to is a manufacturer-to-dealer incentive--not cash back to the customer. Here's where I got the info: http://www.edmunds.com/new/2008/acura/tl/100902909/incentives.html While reading most of the April/May posts in this forum, I've got to assume that in most cases, reviewers are not opting for the 0.9% financing special. By not doing so, the price (OTD or otherwise) is going to be less than for someone like me who would like to use Honda's financing special of 0.9% for 48 mos. But obviously, we can't have both. Regardless, it's great that we have these forums to share pricing and purchasing stories. It really does level the playing field for buyers. Kevin Modesto, CA
