I picked up a new 2009 TSX (no tech) today from Jerry Damson in Huntsville, AL. Price was $27,167, including Protection Package 2. 2009s are getting in short supply; they had 3 Tech and 3 non-tech left. Birmingham had only a few Tech, and no non-tech.
Acurashopper: What dealership in GA gave you the phone quote? Looking to get a 2009 TSX w/o tech in AL/TN area. Best price so far is $27,486 at Jerry Damson in Huntsville or $27,600 at Gary Force in Nashville. This is still far above the Consumer Reports Bottom Line Price of $25,957. Sunny King in Birmingham has the new 2010 in stock. w/o tech, their price is $30,268.
I am in the Nashville Tennessee area and got quotes from a few dealers within a 200 mile radius. I am looking for new 2008 Acura TL w/ Nav. I'm paying cash with no trade. Prices are plus taxes, title and license. $31,920 Damson Huntsville, AL $32,577 Gary Force Brentwood, TN $35,790 Acura of Memphis, TN Wouldn't quote Harper Acura, Knoxville, TN (they wanted me to name my price) I was hoping for better and will likely hold out a couple months.
Are you getting charged a doc fee? Acura Carland does not charge a doc fee to out of state buyers.
I knew about the higher prices in AL and I was willing to negotiate. I want to support local businesses if it's few hundred dollar difference. It's bad to promise invoice and then try to sell at MSRP. Then insult a customer for not buying? BTW, If you bought used 2007 MDX Tech from Damson last week, you got ripped off. The salesman said the car was "messed up" and he was laughing about the sale price of $37~K. Weird guy. I cannot post the offer details from Jackson Acura until this weekend. Let's just say it's $400 above invoice and 18% off for accessories. We'll see what I can get at the end of the negotiation. With economy heading towards recession, I am in no hurry.
