Looking at Celestial Silver. There seems to be lots of them around, both in Taupe and black interiors.
Thanks for the info. Sounds like you are also happy with the Taupe interior. I am trying to decide between the taupe and the black interior color. (exterior - trying to decide between: - lakeshore silver - white - celestial silver The black looks very very good but I live in Alabama and it gets very hot and "humid" here in the summer. (still wish Acura would add "cooled" seats for the U.S.) I have not really had the opportunity to see the taupe interior...the one I did see still had the plastic covering the interior.
Ok latest news on my dealing in Birmingham, AL. Please leave your comments. The dealer promised me the car was driven well. It now has 2k miles on it. The car is a black/black '05 TL with Navi. I paid $33,000 for the car. Out the door it was slightly over $34k. Tell me what you think. Package includes: -Rear Wing spoiler -Protection Package
The MDX is supposed to go 5-7K on oil changes. I personally change it when it starts to turn black, since I am mostly stop an go driving that has been about every 4K. The service in the first 2 years depending on driving should only be your 7500 and 15000 mile checkups...that will also be your oil changes. That will cost you about $150 and $250 respectively. So you get $400 worth of value there, $500 worth of oil changes (if you go to the same place everytime). I would take the lower purchase price. You can't be sure you will be going to this dealer for oil changes every time. What if their service hours are inconvenient and even worse...they are just not good.
I personally had to compromise on color. I wanted an anthracite/black but ended up with anthracite/quartz b/c I NEEDED a car asap. As has been mentioned, most dealerships only have the pathetic supply of 1 NAVI, very true in the NE area. If you have time and money (b/c you'll probably get a better deal taking something off their lot) to shop around, I'd say take the time to source for that combo. With regards to other combos - i think black on black is just too dark, silver is out of the question as it looks too much like a honda civic on the road:); interior wise, i'd much prefer the modern alumninum/carbon trim than the wood (which imho, looks cheesy). acurapeabody/lewisautos in VT might be people to deal with - bought mine from the latter but both of them were decent enough not to open the conversation with, "yeah, these cars only go for MSRP".
