I ve been an owner of this Lanos 1.5L 2002(2dor hatchback) and I must say for the money it has been a real good car.Followed proper maintenance at the dealership and seriously can t complain.Timing belt was change at 100 00 km.systems flush at regular intervals as per manufacturer and I even got a brand new A?C installed in it last year for next to nothing(Originally ... man i personally hate problems like that, OK first all cars have a production date and that's on the driver side door jam [ two samples 6-97 is 98 7-98 is a 99 see this are my two daewoos lanos]now yours must of been built late 2001 but on the serial it must said 2002 so you go by that , OK second have some body do a real diagnostic the car they will tell you wish sensor is the ... I recently replaced the timing belt on a 2002 Daewoo Lanos and it too runs great on the road but the idle is rough. In addition the check engine light came on and stays on. Any ideas? I could not get the water pump off, and one of the bolts for the tensioner was behind the valve sprocket. Totally inaccessible. Changing all those components seems impossible without ... Hello The climate selector knob on my 2002 Lanos 4 door seems to have broken. I can turn it, it stops at the positions and feels like it works, but no matter the other settings air only comes out the front vents, and I need my front defroster right now. Can anyone help me - my 2002 Lanos 1.6 (only 30,000 miles)has been diagnosed by the local Chevrolet garage (in the UK Chevrolet took over Daewoo) as needing a new ECU, at a cost of £1000 which I can't afford.
