Re: Considering a 2005 Town & Country [greener1]
greener1 - Could you please tell me what dealer you dealt with and where it is located? I want to refer my own dealer and my regional service manager to that dealer to get more information. All I have gotten so far is oozing concern for my satisfaction, but no concrete action. I may have to go to the head of Chrysler in America and let things trickle down from the top. ... Read More...

Re: Self Proclaimed Minivan Expert [artgpo]
This is not 1985, or even 2000. Owning a Nissan 20 years ago does not mean the Quest sucks. First gen Siennas and Odys were not very good either. Your experience with a 1994 DGC has no influence on what 2006 model van I would buy. Now, if you had a 2005 DGC and replaced it with a 2006 Ody, I'd give your experiences more value. Who was selling GM vans at $10k off? Every one ... Read More...

Tips for keeping transmission running for many years
Okay I'm a novice, but I realize that the transmission is a very important part of the vehicle. So, I am asking all of you transmission experts to give me any tips so that my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country can go for many years without having transmissions problems. So far the only real tip that I saw was Dusty's a few posts up which said: "the transmission filter should ... Read More...

Replace the radio?
I was considering replacing the radio in our 2005 Chrysler Town & Country (Touring, with DVD/CD 6 disc changer). I was looking for one that plays MP3's. Now, I have found replacement radios (I didn't want to go with the $500 Chrysler one!) and faceplates that would fit in to the space, but I haven't found anything that says it will actually work with the CD/DVD changer. ... Re:dads fired up driving a minivan???? [dennisctc]
The last recall effected over 85,000 owners (but none on this forum I'm sure) with potential of misfiring airbags. That's more important than 0-60 times, or number of cupholders in my book. Misfiring, nice way to put it when I looked at the recall it said it possibly wouldn't go off. Not blow up in your face like you imply. Another slant to make things look worse then ... Read More...

Re: Failure of rear brake lines '96 T&C [ch42howard]
Chrysler Corporation and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) is well aware of the rusted brake line problem on the Chrysler Minivans. NHTSA is investigating the problem because of the many complaints that they have received. There is a Recall on the Chrysler Minivans in Canada for rusted brake lines which should start in September. ... Read More...

Re: 2005 Odyssey Touring for under $3,500? [hansienna]
I guess I need to clarify.... I purchased a CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY TOURING MODEL, not a Odyssey. It sounds as though many of you think I bought a Odyssey. My deal was almost $10,000 off MSRP. I can say though, if I could of gotten the same deal with the same features on a 2005 Odyssey it would be in my garage. Read More...

Agree with marine2 with a few additions. # 1. There was a Chrysler Voyager clone of regular, short wheel base Caravan from January 1, 2002 until the name was changed to Chrysler T&C. The T&C with no letters after it is a short wheel base clone of Dodge Caravan. In 2002, each had a 7 year 100,000 powertrain warranty that would be transferable to next owner IF the original ... 2001 Town & Country nightmare
Where to begin, but I'll make it brief. Our 2001 Chrysler Town & Country died at 41,000 miles. We had it in to the dealership for a blown air conditioner in May 2005 and mentioned that we also had problems with the car dying for no apparent reason other than acceleration or deceleration (usually in the summer here in AZ where it's over 100). They replaced the air conditioner ... Read More...
