Caravan/Town & Country Electrical Problems
Re: Chrysler Town & Country Electrical problems Headlights, & inst.Cluster [tcproblems]
I had a 1998 T&C Limited. The car died one day and would not start. After replacing two ECM computers, the first one at my cost, the car worked most of the time. Then we had more and more occassions where the instrument panel would be dark when trying to start the car. After researching the internet, I found that several folks had been able to fix this problem by resoldering ... Read More...
Regarding reviews
It's funny that most reviews use the Grand Caravan without self-leveling suspension. If any of you have driven the new 2008 Chrysler Town and Country Limited with the self-leveling suspension, you would walk away with a better impression compared to the regular suspension. The drive and the looks inside are better. The T&C I drove takes much quicker composed ... Read More...
Re: 2008 Town & Country Limited & Grand Caravan SXT First Impression [carcom2]
The T&C with the tow package includes the self leveling rear suspension and I thought it drove much better and the steering feedback was much better than the GC. What baffles me a little is the tow rating, 3500 lbs? My 2005 was rated at 3800 lbs with tow package...and has smaller engine? I'd love to see a Diesel version on the market, I'm hearing that'll happen in 2009 ... Read More...

Re: town and country electric lock system [memartinez]
Yes, had exact same situation. 2005 T&C LX and door locks not working. Remove battery cable to reset computer, and then they work for a few days and then they stop again. Take vehicle to Chrysler and am advised I need a software update to the computer and they charge me for it! Why are we charged for a problem with Chrysler's computer programming? Read More...

EGR Valve location on 2005 Chrysler T&C
I hope someone can give me some clues as to where the EGR valve is located on our 05 town & country. I have been looking and looking and looking and can't find it. I have seen pictures of what they are supposed to look like but for the life of me, see nothing under the hood that even comes close to looking like it. Anyone know where it's hiding? Thanks in advance for the help! Read More...

Re: 2005 Grand Caravan 3.8L Oil Consumption [Vipergg]
Hello, I have been following this discussion about oil consumption. I have a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country with 3.8L engine with 15000 miles on it, it uses 1 quart of oil about 1000 miles. The dealer put a new PCV valve and said to monitor again. The service guy said the next step will be to measure the compression. The engine also have pinning problem under load. ... Read More...
Chrysler Minivan Transmission Problems
Re: 2005 Town and Country 3.8L Transmission fluid change?? [mudra]
No, no, no. You were correct for being concerned and you need to take remedial action NOW! Point 1: ATF+3 is Chrysler's very specific semi-synthetic formulation and no amount of any additive in the world will make Dextron (of any flavor) compatible with ATF+3. Point 2: Even if they did put ATF+3 in you 2005 transmission, it will still get destroyed. Why? If you ... Read More...
