Chrysler Town & Country power steering problems
T & C Power Steering Rack Failure
I have a 2005 Town and Country with the same problem. My van has 50,000 miles. Now that the warranty is off, I use a mechanic that is more reasonable than the large dealer where I bought the van. He said I should contact Chrysler because this should not happen at 50,000 miles and I searched Google and found all of you on my first hit! I will contact Chrysler but I don't ... Read More...

Fuel Gage problems. :(
I hate the 2005 Town and country. I was in my fathers comeing back from a musical with almost a full tank of gas. It was dark on a twisty road and the engine just shut off. He pulled over on the side off the road and it was blided both ways. We did not know what happend. We got a ride from our friends who lived by there. Towed it back to the dealership and they said the gas gade ... Read More...

Re: Automatic door doesn't completely shut on it's own [dpullen4]
My son has a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country LTD and his driver side automatic sliding passenger door will only close about 90%. Searched the web and can't find any information at all. I played with the protective flex-casing that covers the wires to the door and made it stop at many different positions. Played with it long enough that it doesn't work at all now. So... ... $800 to fix steering rack problem on Town/Country 2005
I have just had to pay our Chrysler service department $800 to fix a problem that after reading all these postings should be a recall by Chrysler. We had to have the steering rack replaced and it played out exactly as previous postings stated. My only questions is WHERE IS THE RECALL???? Read More...
Re: Glare from poorly designed Sienna instrument cluster and dash [bobber1]
I do believe American car makers are suffering from their past sins which were many. I think both management and labor must share the blame. Many back in the 1970's and 80's were poorly designed and built. I had bought a Pontiac. Phoenix new, that over heated on me on the way home from the dealers and I wound up having a pool of oil in the driveway the next morning. Had ... Read More...
Re: Glare from poorly designed Sienna instrument cluster and dash [hansienn
There are a lot of very passionate opinions on this forum, particularly from the Mopar people. The problem is passion often overrides civility, objectivity and reason. I guess that comes from a lot of put down over the years and having auto magazines not really giving Chrysler products the credit they deserve. While they did have some problems back in the 1990's, ... Read More...
Top load washers & minivans
For those that don't think your top load washer washes as well as a side loader, have you used the High Efficiency detergent recommended for the newer top loaders. Some manuf. are requiring it to not void out the warranty I've been told. The HE stuff works better for those HE machines. Our top loader cleans great. CR, wether sometimes biased or not, just like our ... Read More...

Re: 2005 Town & Country Rear end Noise [bjss]
If there is a recall there is nothing in the system. I put my last 8 digits of my Vin for recall searches in Chrysler.com and found nothing regarding brakes. Regarding my local dealer, I never feel comfortable with speaking to their reps behind the counter. When ever you ask them anything its always "I don't know, but bring it in and we'll take a look". Thanks for the reply - good luck with your mechanic's possible fix. I spoke with my dealer...taking the van in next week. He admitted that brakes are an ongoing issue with T&C's and he is constantly is repairing/replacing. In fact, he mentioned that Chrysler has a perpetual recall on their minivan brake systems...might be worth checking into with your dealer. ... Read More...
