I have had my 2005 Town and Country for 1 week and love it! It handles great, the price with rebates made my payments less than the previous minivan, the exterior is sharp, the seats are very comfortable, and the ride is very smooth. I will check back with an update in the future.

So far not a problem. 12,000 miles fuel economy improved slightly after 4000 miles. Solid 15 mpg in city. 22.5 to 25 mpg on hwy. pulling 2800 lb bass boat in Wisconsin avg. 17.9 mpg. not bad. the 3.8 litre engine is a little noisy but it has a lot of pep. I feel the build quality is great.

Favorite Features

DVD/ sunroof/electric doors/stow n go

Suggested Improvements

Dress up the interior trim on the doors/cup holders on 2nd row seats need to be molded in doors if possible and a electric window on side doors like toyota would be great for ventilation

Bought new July 14, 2005. Has luxury, leather and trailer tow groups. My third Chrysler Corp. minivan in 13 years. In four months I have put only 1600 miles on it - over a quarter of which has been trips to the dealer - because I simply can't stand to listen to it any more than I HAVE to! This car has the most fiendish collection of noises (transmission, a/c compressor, exhaust, suspension, etc.) and the harshest, noisiest ride I have yet encountered in a passenger car in over 50 years of driving experience. I am trying now to get DC to eat the cost of a replacement. DC has finally admitted it knows it has a problem, but doesn't know when - or even if - a fix will be found.

Favorite Features

Seats, instrument layout, styling, stow and go.

Suggested Improvements

DC should learn how to respond more promptly and with more concern to us unfortunates who get one of their mistakes. I know they can do better when they want to.

Bought this van new. After 2 weeks, constant chirping noise from engine compartment. Been to dealer 4 times with no resolution to the problem. Leave overnight and we will fix it. Not good for Chrysler's image. I will be looking at the Honda on Saturday.

Favorite Features

Good looking van. It turns heads on the street.

Suggested Improvements

Rear view blocked by DVD player screen. You must rely on the side view mirrors.

We were on vacation this summer and rented a Town and Country. We loved it so much we bought when as soon as we got back. Extremely comfortable and fun to drive. The best touring ride out there. We got the power doors which are a godsend when loading and unloading kids and supplies. Plus the stow and go seating is amazingly easy.

I got the captain's chairs in the 2nd row. Much more comfortable than the standard seats. Gas mileage could be better, but since I do mostly highway driving I can live with 20-21 mpg. Already had to take van back to dealer to get the electric doors fixed, after only 3 months. They said they couldn't find anything wrong...hmmm... they were working again though when I got it back. Makes me wonder if maybe there is a general problem with the doors? No further problems since then though. The ride is great. Steering is really good too. I was worried about getting into smaller parking spaces, but the van can make a tight turn really well.

Favorite Features

Stow n Go is great! I love how the whole back can fold flat. We can fit our bikes in the back no problem. Also love the tire pressure gauge on the driver's panel. It let me know my pressure was low before I ever would have known it by sight. Also like the radio control buttons on the steering wheel.

Suggested Improvements

Gas mileage. Improve durability of electric doors. The spare tire is in a horrible spot. You have to jack the car up and let the spare drop down from a space between the 2 front seats.I haven't had to do it yet, but I think you will have to crawl under the jacked up car to get to the spare..not good

I love this van. I had so many PROBLEMS with my 2003 HONDA ODYSSEY. I'll never go back to a IMPORT. The seats are great. The whole package is great. Now I won't have to be worried about getting STRANDED like in old HONDA

Favorite Features

Folding seats in both rows. Quiet. RELIABLE

Suggested Improvements

More colors. More Power

The car drives very well on the open highway, I've taken over three long haul vacations using my town and country and I find the ride to be a great experience and the car very reliable on long travelled distances.

Favorite Features

The power and control of the engine and the handling of the car are excellent. nice smooth and quiet ride.

Suggested Improvements

electrical doors over time with wear will need repairs, other than that I am on my fourth t & C car and have loved all the experiences of driving the car around town and on long drives in the country.

This is our third T&C; each is better than the last; we traded to get the new seat storage. Very simple to operate with little effort.

Favorite Features

Sun roof, navigation and dvd player

Suggested Improvements

Interior mats; no mat provided for $34k for third row; A MUST for kids. The U mat was discontinued which protected the side entry for traffic.

Review

Lots of power (3.8 engine). Gas mileage 23-25 on highway, 10-13 in town. Front seat comfort very good, second and third row seats are terrible. Can't sit in them with a bad back. Ride quality is better than Honda and Toyota especially on rough roads. Sound system (6 CD in-dash) is wonderful. Much better overall value than the Honda and Toyota. Bought this van for $7000 less than I could have bought a comperable Toyota or Honda. May not quite have the resale value of the other two, but I would rather have the extra $7000 in my pocket.

Favorite Features

Stow and go seats. This alone puts functionality above the Honda and Toyota. Almost like having an enclosed pickup truck.

Suggested Improvements

Better in-town mileage! Relocate spare tire to inside of van. It's located under the van between the front seats. You have to jack up van and lower the spare tire just to check the air pressure.
