Excellent Vehicle
Vehicle
2005 Chrysler Town and Country Limited 4dr Ext Minivan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)
Review
This van is perfect for my wife and our two girls. We love all the features. In my opinion its the best looking van on the market. Engine performance is better than I expected from the OHV V-6. Ride and handling are excellent for this type of vehicle. Build quality has been flawless. Got a great deal to boot, much better than foreign competitors. I never thought about owning a minivan before but we'd have to step up to a Suburban type vehicle to get as much interior space.
Favorite Features
Navigation system, DVD player, Stow-N- GO seats.
Suggested Improvements
Optional OHC V-6. Allow the moon roof to be combined with the side curtain airbags.

The tcs is a great van. Only problem was the gas mpg. I was getting about 15 city and 21 highway. I went to amas oil, and that gave me 18 to 19 city and 25 to 26 highway. And the kids love it too. I should say when they are playing there video games or movies.
Favorite Features
power tail gate
Suggested Improvements
sto and go sets are to small.

Large surprise from luxury car owner
Vehicle
2005 Chrysler Town and Country Touring 4dr Ext Minivan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I bought this minivan just because I liked the looks, and it was easy to get in and out of. The more I use it the more I have found it to be one of the most useful vehicles I have ever known. My kids give me a hard time about being a minivan owner, but that is when they aren't coming over to tuck all the seats into the floor and haul something. It is truly a functional vehicle for everything you want to do.
Favorite Features
Stowaway seating, electric auto doors, stereo controls on back of steering wheel. Ease of driving, and location of controls
Suggested Improvements
additional armrest on door sides for front passengers. larger console space for storage in between seats. (inside console is fine...just on top.

T & C u feel connected 2 driving it- rides great-anti-lock feature was a life saver kept us out of a accident- brakes really have solid feel to them and 3.8 L engine has more then enough power-but my T&C has the tow package pulling 1200 pound trailer loaded engine just barely does it for merging in fast traffic with 4 passengers and trailer. Rear self adjusting shocks came trailer package work great self level the van after driving it a bit.Transmission shifts good and downshifts when power is needed- steering has nice feel to it better then a lot of cars-easy to get in&out- front seats comfortable-as are second roll-3rd ok for kids but adults only if needed to use.Headlamps nice & bright when on.
Favorite Features
Paint nice and smooth"bright silver"drivers seat power I have a bad back and can get comfortable in passenger side even it non power-stow and go feature is a nice when needing to haul large items-still very few rattles at 22000 miles-15-29 mpg depending on speed-love power doors&rear hatch nice van.
Suggested Improvements
found cracks in metal joints sealer cracked letting water run down to area where chain closes sliding doors-rust where water had run down to that area "I am bummed at 22,000 miles rust- where else is it-no lights on steering wheel 4 cruise control & power window switches on doors no lights either.

Did I buy a Lemon???
Vehicle
2005 Chrysler Town and Country LX 4dr Ext Minivan (3.3L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I purchased this vehicle new in June, 2005. I love the van but I hate all of the problems. I have had problems with the air conditioning (only cooling in the rear). The door locks (wouldn't unlock with remote on key or inside switches & the only 2 key holes in the thing are on the driver side door and in the rear). My transmission went out (Thank God it was still under warranty). The cruise control quit working. After approximately 5 visits to the dealership's service department they told me my best bet was to get rid of the vehicle. This is encouraging!!! I am in the process of getting rid of this van now... I just hope that I can get what I owe when I have to trade it in.
Favorite Features
Love the stow n go!
Suggested Improvements
The vehicle needs a keyhole in both the driver and passenger sides so that when the automatic door locks fail u can get your family in and out a little easier. We as customers pay a lot for these vehicles and it would be nice if Chrysler could make a vehicle that is worth our money!

Good Van
Vehicle
2005 Chrysler Town and Country LX 4dr Ext Minivan (3.3L 6cyl 4A)
Review
First van we have owned. Was skeptical from reviews from owners of earlier year models but it has been reliable. It is very nice to drive, handles corners well, is smooth going down the road and has all the room you need. The stow-n-go is great, can't believe it wasn't thought of sooner. The 3.3 is somewhat under powering, 3.8 should be standard on all models. Fuel mileage is around 22 average. Best van for the price.
Favorite Features
Stow-n-go, rear heat & air controls and handling.
Suggested Improvements
Make 3.8 standard engine, Better cup holders for 2nd row, power sliders standard ad find a way to minimize front brake dust.

53,000 miles of Chrysler T&C
Vehicle
2005 Chrysler Town and Country Touring 4dr Ext Minivan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)
Review
Put on 53,000 miles in 2.5 years with no problems and reasonable fuel mileage for vehicle of this genre. Generally ran over 22 mpg on highway (75+mph) with van loaded to above window level. Vehicle would do 24 mpg at 70 mph on calm day using 10% ethanol. Car was comfortable and stow-and-go was great on trips. It was not a race car but was comfortable to drive 800 to 900 miles a day on freeways. Rear seat room was more than on Toyota Sienna which means adults could sit way back without have to sit sideways. Know several people who have driven late nineties chrysler vans in excess of 200,000 miles.
Favorite Features
First vehicle I have had where tires ran over 50,000 miles and did not get noisy or bumpy and kept a smooth quiet ride. Tires were Bridgestone. I like the room to carry either people or to carry luggage on our biennial trips from Minnesota to South Texas. The stow and go gives hidden storage.
Suggested Improvements
I hope to never have to change a tire and will use the cell phone to do so...a small price to get the stow and go feature. The low road clearance could be a problem after a heavy snow but snow in excess of about 8 inches is going to be a problem for other vehicles also. A good design overall.

i find an enjoyable driving experience in this vehicle. this my 4th van that i have owned and find this the best so faf [all were t&c vans due to the stow &go i cannot have a lift installed due to lack of support for lift motor as in prior models that had this ability unless a steel plate is welded to this area i do not want that done
Favorite Features
seat comfort, heated seats and electric doors . gps system, compass and temperature system are a real asset
Suggested Improvements
amber rear turn signals would be a increased safety factor

Happy but Sad
Vehicle
2005 Chrysler Town and Country Limited 4dr Ext Minivan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I purchased a 2005 top of the line Limited Model with all the bells and whistles. I am satisfied with the comfort and driving ease but! I have experienced drive train problems, an awful bumping noise when driving and during a vacation to Las Vegas (temp reaching 126 deg.) the passenger front door molding released from the body causing the door to jam every time it is opened. I have experienced problems with the power doors and liftgate when the weather gets over 100 deg. The performance and craftsmanship is lacking for a $38,000.00 automobile.
Favorite Features
fold down seats, power doors and liftgate
Suggested Improvements
dependability and craftmenship
