Review

The dealership where I purchased it was great. I had to drive back there for all warranty work. It was 300 miles away but the dealers around where I live always said nothing was wrong or it wasn't covered under warranty. Kudos to Gurley-Leep. They replaced the handle on the rear hatch, alternator, battery, electric sliding door. At 44,000 miles I had to replace brake pads. After 40,000 miles I lost 2- 3 miles per gallon and it started running rough. Manual recommends 75,000 miles for first tune up but needed one about 40,000 miles. Transmission slips when slowing down and taking off without coming to complete stop.

Favorite Features

Sound system and DVD player. 7 year/70,000 drive train warranty. I'm sure it'll be needed for transmission.

Suggested Improvements

Brakes. Electric sliding door works sporadically since new. Always worked a the dealer so no repair. Automatic door locks sporadically chirp, again never at the dealer.

This van is worthless I have replaced the EGR valve, air bag sensor, 3 oxygen sensors in 2 weeks, stabilizing bar and bushings, rear wheel cylinder, the drums, brake shoes and intake manifold gaskets. Gave it a tune up and tranny flush runs worse than ever! Now the instrument cluster panel is messing up was told it will possibly be 700 dollars to reprogram it. I have owned this for 14 months and have put 1400 dollars in it without the instrument panel. They also are telling me I have a possible wiring problem and the belt is acting up now! I realize you have to put money into cars but I feel 1400 dollars is really steep when you only owned it 14 months and paid $12,000 for it. Keyless entry died.

Favorite Features

dual sliding doors thats it

Suggested Improvements

Make a reliable vehicle for once not rip people off. i will never own another Chrysler for as long as i live and neither will friends and family!!!

I purchased this vehicle brand new in July 2005. Blazer was totaled and I was only given a week to purchase a new car. This one was a big mistake. At 10,000 miles my rotors need to be resurfaced. At 15,000 my front axle literally fell of my car. Now at 21,000 new brake pads needed. The paint is chipping and I have rust spots. Dealership is no help. Blame EVERYTHING on my driving. Yeah right. Never had these problems with my Chevy cars. My husbands head just misses the ceiling and he is 6 foot. I am 5'2" and not comfortable at all driving this. I WILL NEVER BUY CHRYSLER AGAIN.

Favorite Features

The gas mileage is decent and it is roomy for children.

Suggested Improvements

Brakes. Customer service from the dealership (esp. The managers). More head room. The list goes on. Way too many to mention.

Bought brand new from dealer and developed popping front noise to driver suspension side. Later in a year developed a humming sound in power steering pump only in morning. At 24,000 miles I took it in to be service because now the humming had already turned into a noise with steering ,that would happen only in morning ( that indicates a power steering rack and pinion problem). The power steering pump and rack and pinion was replaced. The popping front suspension noise was gone. One month later the noise began again in the morning. I took it to a different dealer and the power steering pump and rack and pinion were replaced. Next morning same problem, in shop 4X, and still waiting for it.

Favorite Features

Spacious inside.

Suggested Improvements

Get better mechanical engineers at Chrysler and have better quality control and testing at the manufacture.

Had a Plymouth Voyager. Loved It. Bought this Chrysler new. What a pain. I've had to return it to the dealer 15 times in 42,000 miles. Airbag, AC, ABS system, the list goes on. Called Chrysler and received no help. I am very surprised. Thought Chrysler was better. This will be the last one I ever buy. I've never had so much trouble with any vehicle I have ever owned. I hope someone from Chrysler reads this. They need a wake-up call.

Favorite Features

Good gas mileage.

Suggested Improvements

Better quality control. Also, the company should respond by treating its customers better, possible a free extended warranty after so many problems.

We have owned our Chrysler Town and Country van for almost 4 years. The space and stow and go seating is wonderful. The multiple problems we have had that require repairs makes us wish that we would have bought a different vehicle. From electrical locks that have gone hay-wire to bad tie rods and at least 2 recalls, it's been in the shop a lot. That's just part of the list of things that have required fixing. We still owe on it and unfortunately did not get an extended warranty. We passed the 36,000 mile mark a while ago so now we just keep hoping and praying nothing more goes wrong.

I purchased this van. I love it. I drive in town and freeway. The only things i wish were different is the gas mileage, wish there was a console between the seats, and bluetooth. However outside of the mileage i love it.

Favorite Features

Stow and go seating, sliding doors on both sides

Suggested Improvements

Do something to improve gas mileage

Solid Minivan, great configuration options with 'stow-n-go'. Easily transports 7 adults/kids. Good for road trips. Issues - Brakes, Steering rack, tires (replaced at 32K), fuel economy. Concerned about long term reliability, bought extended warranty as I plan to keep a long time.

Favorite Features

Stow-n-Go, DVD entertainment system, ride

Suggested Improvements

Higher backs for middle two seats, fuel economy (averaging 15-16 city, 18- 20 highway)

Stow & Go is great!. Interior, bluetooth, Homelink, navigation great. Brakes don't last (yes I'm gentle on them) The AC keeps breaking & we only use it 5 months of the year. At 34,000 miles the power steering went bad and now at 36,000 miles its bad again. Lucky I bought the extended warranty! The new owners of Chrysler should check parts suppliers QC. Or they may go the way of Oldsmobile.

Favorite Features

Stow N Go, Nav, home link, bluetooth, gas mileage and distance to empty computer, gas mileage. Storage and engine has good pickup.

Suggested Improvements

Quality of brakes, AC, power steering unit, and from what others have written much better QC on your parts suppliers. I hope the redesign addresses some of these issues.
