Best minivan choice for 2005

Our family is very satisfied with the T&C Touring minivan. We note greatly improved build quality, quiet cabin, comfort, and luxury features that do not exist on our 1992 Plymouth Voyager (which we purchased new and still drive daily). We are more than satisfied with the power output of the 3.8 liter engine and transmission combination. Fuel economy has averaged 20.4 mpg and is improving as we accumulate more miles. We like the "Stow and Go" feature and have used it when we have transported sheets of plywood and a new dishwasher.
Favorite Features
The best features for us are are the power, heated, leather seats. Our son, daughter, son-in-law, and grand children love the power sliding doors and power lift gate. (We hope the power mechanisms are durable!!)
Suggested Improvements
Improve the armrests on the seats. The are too short to be comfortable.

I buy a new van every year or two, because I feel it is the best all- around car for the money available!I dont understand why young mothers are so hep on the big s u v 's when this car is available; I am a senior, and presently own Mer- Benz, 911 Porsche, Mazda P/up and love my van.
Favorite Features
17.6 miles /gal;fold down seats; quality sound system; roominess.

Happy T&C LTD. owner

Review
I'm very pleased with the 05 T&C LTD van. Many great features, good fit and finish and performance. The van is very nimble and easy to drive. Front seats are higher than the 2000 Chrysler vans and provide great visibility. Experienced a "groan" when turning the steering under certain conditions. Dealer service manager found a bulletin that addressed the steering groan. The return line to the power steering was replaced with a new line from the factory that was redesigned with a cooler on it to take care of overheated power steering fluid...The groan condition in the steering has disappeared. Overall, a great minivan as of 7000 miles at this point in time. We are very satisfied.
Favorite Features
Navigation system; sto and go folding seating, power sliding and rear doors, 6 cd changer, adjustable pedals, and all the airbag safety features.
Suggested Improvements
Include 8 way front passengers seat (same as drivers) instead of 2 way power seat. (Our 2000 T&C LTD had this feature.)
An Excellent Start - stay tuned.

Drove the Honda (great engine, excellent QC, hate the layout), and the Toyota (excellent QC, unattractive- to me )and the T&C Limited. Had a Chysler minivan previously, 12yrs, 130k, pretty good experience with it. My T&C has everything but bluetooth and sunroof - nav rules! - AND STOW & GO, one of mankinds better achievements, can't say enough good about it. I bought the Chysler over the others for a number of reasons, mostly features and layout, but also because Honda and Toyota dealers use "Second Stickers", ie; "market rate adjustment" or some similar. I could negotiate with Chrysler, where they would not budge. Bought the T&C for 8k (!) LESS than similarly equipped Honda/Toyota.
Favorite Features
Stow & Go ! Love the navigation. Auto doors MUCH more useful than I would have believed (toddler influence). Way less $$ than competitors, with almost free financing to boot. GET the weather mats, they do a great job and are reasonably attractive (Esp. if have children). ULTIMATE trip vehicle.
Suggested Improvements
Gas Mileage. Hwy average on trip was ok, but around town getting 17mpg, could stand improvement. Totally reliable so far - but still on new side. Will report.

I got all the features I wanted for $10K less than the Honda. The Stow & Go seats are great! Really easy to do and make the van very flexible.
Favorite Features
Stow & Go seats, overhead info center, power doors and lift gate.
Suggested Improvements
Bigger DVD screen, make the side airbags standard.
A Great Minivan

Our family loves our Town and Country Limited Minivan. It had tons of extra room with the stow and go system and all the other perks a family on the go could want. My husband and I like the Navigation system and our children enjoy the DVD with wireless headphones. Even though we've had it only 7 and 1/2 months, we've put over 18,000 miles on it. It has proven to be a reliable and comfortable car.
Favorite Features
DVD, stow and go seating, automatic doors and liftgate, reverse sensing system.
Suggested Improvements
Put the outside temperature guide near the steering wheel at the control panel instead of near the top of the windshield.
So far, so good

We leased this when it became obvious our Neon and Explorer were not big enough for 3 kids. We love the sliding doors and power liftgate. The kids love the video system. The rear stow and go is great but the midrow stow and go needs some engineering improvements. To access the midrow stow and go requires moving the front seats all the way forward and removing the floor mats. It doesn't sound like much, until you have to do it several times. A little more wind/road noise than I would have anticipated on a high level vehicle and we have yet to see the advertised gas milage. All in all, a nice "grocery getter" that you wouldn't mind taking to a nice restaurant.
Favorite Features
Sliding doors, power liftgate, overhead rail system/video system, stow and go
Suggested Improvements
Add a front seat release that is accessible when using the mid-row stow and go.

Review
The Chrysler Town and Country minivan so far is the best van i have owned. The ride is smooth and it is easy to handle. The inside is pleasant to look at and not complicated. there are plenty of cup holders and spaces to put belongings. The lighting is just right at nite time and the the special features are enough without going overboard. I feel safe in this van and know I will get many many good years out of it.
Favorite Features
The keyless entry with exterior lights flashing is wonderful. And the audio system is great, sounds good. Really like the songs coming up on the radio.
Suggested Improvements
All the vans should come with rear heating vents, as i cant find any on mine although no one is complaining about the temperature. The rug runners should be wider to cover up all the tracks on the floor where the seats come out. Those areas are a potential trap for bits of paper and sand.
