Head Lights

I live in Canada and recently bought two new head lights for my 1998 Chrysler Town & Country LXI from an on line parts dealer in the states. The lights arrived and are correct other than the wiring, my vehicle has a harness with two wires and two sockets while the lamp holder on the headlights has a connection with three pins. Would anyone know if the wiring on my van ... Read More...

2008 Chrysler Town & Country/Dodge Grand Caravan

Re: Chrysler sales [artgpo]

True, but I said profits, not payrolls and many Canadians do come across to spend their money. Especially right now with the strong CDN$. I agree Toyota and Honda USA have a great economic impact on the geographical areas where they build their plants, but I would venture that Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Subaru combined don't exceed the US payroll of just Chrysler, ... Chrysler Town & Country: 2004 and Earlier

Re: 2004 chrysler t-c brake problem [mickeyrom]

Hi, No, I'm not losing any fluid. It seems that it may be something internal in the master cylander. I just went out and the brakes seem to be pumping up better. It's wierd cause I just got done changing brakes on a 1998 caravan and they are working great. this town and country is giving me fits. Read More...

Caravan/Town & Country Electrical Problems

Re: Chrysler Town & Country Electrical problems Headlights, & inst.Cluster [tcproblems]

I had a 1998 T&C Limited. The car died one day and would not start. After replacing two ECM computers, the first one at my cost, the car worked most of the time. Then we had more and more occassions where the instrument panel would be dark when trying to start the car. After researching the internet, I found that several folks had been able to fix this problem by resoldering ... Read More...

Chrysler Town & Country overheating

Re: Town and Country overheating [785j3]

Below is the bulletin I found regarding my 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. I have noticed that the Chrysler Town and Country has many of the same bulletins. Dodge has replaced my relay free of charge several times, but last time they charged me for the electrical plug that the relay burned out. It is now at Dodge again, in the shop, waiting, waiting,...I have had the van ... Read More...

Chrysler Minivan Transmission Problems

Re: How are the 2007 transmissions? [ondaman]

"I wonder if the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country SWB (3.3L V6 170HP) has the same transmission quality issues." I'm not sure which issues you are referring to. Starting in 2001 Chrysler revised the transmission a bit and started sending them out the door with external transmission oil coolers (the Gen 3s relied upon an oil cooler in the radiator only), and a lifetime ... Chrysler Town & Country: Serpentine Belt

electrical oddity following jump start

The battery on my 1998 Chrysler Town and Country ran down (due to my own stupidity) and I jump started the car. After jump starting the car, the indicator lights for the air conditioner, recirculation, rear window wiper and rear window wiper washer all are blinking. They stop blinking if I drive the car about 15 minutes, but when I start the car again, the blinking ... Read More...

Re: Squealing serpentine belt 1996 town and country [glynch]

The Gates company has a fix kit for the belt problem on Chrysler 3.3L & 3.8L engines. Cost is about $140. I had the fix kit installed on my 1998 Chrysler Town and Country and I've had no problems yet. Prior to this fix, any puddle I drove through would cause the belt to slip off. Read More...

Honda Odyssey vs Dodge/Chrysler minivans

Re: 2004 Chrysler Town and Country Limited vs 2007 Honda Odyssey EX [bhs1975]

Well, as for longevity of the T&C goes, our two Dodge Grand Caravans (twins of the T&C) are fast approaching a combined quarter of a million miles, and they've been virtually bullet proof. In addition to regular maintenance, the 1998 has needed a starter, a door switch, a transmission and a vacuum battery tray over 145,000 miles. Not too shabby. Our 2003 has been ... Read More...

Chrysler Town & Country Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Repsonse to Did I get a decent deal?

That was probably a good deal. However, I am still reeling over our purchase in May. In mid May, we purchased a 2007 Town & Country Limited with a list price of $39,200. At an Aurora, Colorado, dealership, we received the Chrysler $4,500 price incentive plus an additional $2,701 dollars off by the dealer. No negotiating. Final price of $31,999 was very close to ...
