Chrysler Town & Country power steering problems

Town and Country Steering Problems

Took my 06 T&C to a dealer to have it serviced. They changed the oil & everything checked out ok except there was a problem in the steering rack. Had some noise in the steering the past couple of weeks so I listened. The steering rack was leaking fluid and it was going into the boots which could cause a problem of locking up. Since I have an upcoming trip back to Indiana ... Read More...

Caravan/Town & Country Electrical Problems

Re: 1996 Chrysler Town and Country LXI wont start [gvieth]

Hi. I hope by now you have solved this. For others with this problem, however, have your fuel pump wiring checked. A rodent had chewed through mine (1997 T&C), resulting in continuous successful engine cranking without ignition, because the engine was not getting fuel. Repair of the wiring took care of it. Do not let the mechanic charge you for an expensive fuel ... Read More...

Chrysler Town & Country: Starting/Stalling/Idling Problems

Re: 2003 Town & Country [judger1]

I purchased a 2007 town and Country and I had the same problem the day after we picked up the car from the dealer. My husband was driving the car and it shut down while he was waiting at a red light and my child was in the car. We brought it back to the dealer and they said the issue had something to do with the automatic starter that they installed and the ignition. Now we ... Read More...

Chrysler Town & Country Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: Do you have a Town Country on order? [3kidmom]

Hi, No we have not. It is now in D1 status which means it should be built soon. The latest update that I received from Chrysler was that it had a ship date of 3-25-08 . It will take about 1 week after the ship date for it to get to the dealer which is about 40 miles from where they are built. It has been over 10 weeks since it was ordered. The plant has been shut down 2 or 3 different ... Read More...

2008 Minivans

Top load washers & minivans

For those that don't think your top load washer washes as well as a side loader, have you used the High Efficiency detergent recommended for the newer top loaders. Some manuf. are requiring it to not void out the warranty I've been told. The HE stuff works better for those HE machines. Our top loader cleans great. CR, wether sometimes biased or not, just like our ... Read More...

Caravan/Town & Country Electrical Problems

97 Town & Country - Intermitent Electrical Problems

While I have seen some similar threads about some similar behaviors, I didn’t see any that directly pertained to my issue. I have a 1997 Chrysler Town & Country V6, 3.8L with just over 100k miles on it. It has been a relatively reliable vehicle up until a couple of years ago. At that time the car began to intermittently not start. The battery was fine and charged, the ... Read More...

Honda Odyssey vs Dodge/Chrysler minivans

Re: 2007 Chrysler T&C vs Honda Odyssey [marine2]

You will be shocked and in for a surprise when you see a new T & C (or was it GC?) base model in the lower $20's. I've been waiting to see this ever since it was announced it was going to be the next minivan from DC. Have had good luck with my 1997 GC Sport, but looking for something soon. Most of what you see in the brochure (I have it too) is for a loaded vehicle or much more equipped ... Read More...

Chrysler Town & Country overheating

Re: Town and Country overheating [785j3]

Below is the bulletin I found regarding my 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. I have noticed that the Chrysler Town and Country has many of the same bulletins. Dodge has replaced my relay free of charge several times, but last time they charged me for the electrical plug that the relay burned out. It is now at Dodge again, in the shop, waiting, waiting,...I have had the van ... Read More...

Chrysler Minivan Transmission Problems

Re: Chrysler Transmissions

My family has been through 2 Transmissions and 1 rebuild (easy driving) within the last 120,000 miles with our 1997 Chrysler Town & Country. From what I read the problems seem to continue. A website I found with some information about premature Dodge/Chrysler Transmission failures that seem to continue unbelieveably even with newer Dodge's and Chrysler's ... Read More...
