Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan 2005+
Re: Fuel Gage problems. :( [bmw335xi]
I hate the 2005 Town and country. I was in my fathers comeing back from a musical with almost a full tank of gas. It was dark on a twisty road and the engine just shut off. He pulled over on the side off the road and it was blided both ways. We did not know what happend. We got a ride from our friends who lived by there. Towed it back to the dealership and they said the gas gade ... Read More...
Chrysler Minivan Transmission Problems
Re: 2007 Dodge Caravan transmission [ericbenwa]
Tom 166. I have a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country van (similar to your Dodge van). Had software updated, low gear replaced, etc. Rides a little bit better but problem still there. Mechanics say there is nothing wrong per computer. No lights in van indicating anything wrong. I can feel the van shifting from one gear to the next. Service manager said to come back if the ... Re: flagrantly biased written portion...[bobw3]
October 2007 CR has excellent example of CR bias. The October 2007 CR Cover has headlines "MAKE YOUR CAR LAST 200,000 MILES" and has a photo of a Honda Civic on the cover (suggesting that Honda's are the cars that last). On page 20, the 1994 Ford Ranger pickup is the vehicle that has 488,000 miles while the beloved 1995 Honda Civic on page 21 has only 227,000 miles (NOT ... Read More...
Chrysler Town & Country/Dodge Caravan Door & Window Issues
Re: Chrysler Town and Country window replacement advice needed [birdi]
Pardon me for not saying so, but this is a 1994 Chrysler Town and Country. I am wondering if the rear/side windows are interchangable with Caravan or Voyager windows? Which years? Our van has motorized window openers, but I'm not sure about the Dodge and Plymouth models. If we can replace the window ourselves it will save us a lot of expense. I've seen dodge/plymouth/chrysler ... Read More...

1994 Chrysler Town & Country AWD MPGs
Hi folks... old timer here. Have enjoyed having a T&C since Aug.'94. If memory serves it has the 3.7L V6. It now has 186k miles... water pump went out at 102k, transmission at 103k, exhaust system still the original! Have had the engine gone over with a fine tooth comb every 75k... new belt, plugs, etc. Oh... the coolant tubes to the back A/C unit have been replaced ... Read More...
Honda Odyssey vs Dodge/Chrysler minivans
Re: Self Proclaimed Minivan Expert [artgpo]
This is not 1985, or even 2000. Owning a Nissan 20 years ago does not mean the Quest sucks. First gen Siennas and Odys were not very good either. Your experience with a 1994 DGC has no influence on what 2006 model van I would buy. Now, if you had a 2005 DGC and replaced it with a 2006 Ody, I'd give your experiences more value. Who was selling GM vans at $10k off? Every one ... Read More...
Chrysler Minivan Transmission Problems
1994 town and country transmission 3.8L Auto.
I just washed my engine and did not cover any of the wiring as Chrysler recommended. I started the engine soon after (minutes), then took it for a drive. The speedometrer will not work, all it shows is "0" mph, and the transmission will not gear up. It stays in first gear all the time, at least that's where I think it is. At approx 40-45 mph the engines turning at 3000 ... Read More...
Honda Odyssey vs Dodge/Chrysler minivans
dc reliability
odd1, even if honda could produce enough vehicles to keep up with demand i doubt they would outsell dc minivans. out of the millions of people that have purchased dc minivans, most are satsified and return for a a new chrysler minivan, if they are still interested in buying that type of car. chrysler has the strongest brand loyalty when it comes to minivans than ...
