OK update ! I brought it to someone I knew and he changed out the blower motor modular with what he had and it worked so I went to chrysler and bought another and that seemed to be it, So the one I bought from pepboys only lasted 30 seconds do know why but it just did

Other than calling the customer service number listed, I don't know what else you can do other than getting a lawyer involved. I don't understand why they are denying your claim, since my letter stated it covered 2006 and 2007 model years. If they never fixed the problem in 2006, and still had problems in 2007, then it would seem to me that all 2006 model year product would be covered. ... Read More
So, does anyone have a suggestion of where I can lodge a complaint with Chrysler? I have been through three case managers and all say there is nothing they can do for me, the VIN on my 2006 Town & Country is excluded from the Rear Evaporator Warranty extension. They all three aggreed the part numbers are the same and the year is the same, but deny my claim. All three ... Read More
The letter I received I referred to in post 153 states that the extended warranty applies only to 2006 and 2007 Caravan, Grand Caravan and Town & Country minivans. It does not mention any exclusions except that the extended warranty does not cover other A-C parts. It applies only to the rear evaporator. If some other component failed, then this extended warranty would not apply. There is a phone number listed ... Read More
I too would be very interested in seeing this letter. Our 2006 with only 39,900 miles made a loud hissing sound and the A/C quit, so we took it in too, of course be told it wasn't covered. The service manager told me to write Chrysler to see if we could get reimbursed under the Warranty Extension referred to here, but the first two people I have talked to so far ... Read More
Any chance you still have your letter? I recieved the same letter. (I had already fixed that problem) I have still not recieved the reimbursement check and don;t know the contact info. Like an idiot I send the letter in and didn't keep a copy for my records. I just sent the bill. HELP!
II am extremely dissatisfied with the quality of my 2008 Town and Country van. I have 49,000 miles on it, and today it's down for brakes, a wheel bearing, wheel hub, and tie rod. About $800 in repairs. This follows a few weeks ago when it was down for about $500 in air conditioner repair due to a "bad line" that apparently was a known issue. Service writer admitted he "sees ... Read More
did you ever find out why heat would get cold while idiling. Please e-mail me back at Tsher.firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm curious about this too. My wifes van is having the same problem. Continues to blow cold up to the 2nd hash mark on the guage, then about a minute later it drops to just between the 2nd hash mark and the 1st hash mark. At this point, it starts to produce heat. When I come to a stop, it starts to blow cold. I'm figuring there maybe is a valve ... Read More

The letter said to send evaporator receipts to: Chrysler Customer Assistance Center P O Box 21-8004 Auburn Hills, MI 48321-8004
Any chance you still have that letter with the address to send receipts to. We paid to fix it this summer and also received a letter. I can't find the letter now and want to send in my receipts.
Hey everyone new to the forum... Just wanted to let everyone know what happened tp me recently, I own a 2006 Grand Caravan SXT and back in JUly 2008 the rear evaporator started leaking (38,000 miles). I couldn't afford the $900 to replace it so i just lived without it. Anyway on Saturday November 14th I received a letter from Chrysler LLC that stated they were going to "extend the warranty ... The real kicker in the end was my wife prefered the dash on the ... Read More
Reuters News Service is reporting that DX dealers have approved a reorganization plan that will eliminate many dealers. Also, and perhaps of more importance to consumers, Chrysler will eliminate as many as 30 models including one of their two minivan brands. "I wonder if the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country SWB (3.3L V6 170HP) has the same transmission quality issues." I'm not sure which issues you are referring to. Starting in 2001 Chrysler revised the transmission a bit and started sending them out the door with external transmission oil coolers (the Gen 3s relied upon an oil cooler in the radiator only), and a lifetime fill of the new fully synthetic ATF+4 ... The swaybar bushings on Gen4 vans are problematic, period, full stop, the end. Some also claim that the swaybar ends are troublesome as well although it is unclear whether that is actually the case or whether the links are being lumped in with the noise generated by worn bushings. In our case, our 2003 developed the infamous "clunk" somewhere in the thirty to forty thousand mile range and we simply ignored ... Read More
Well, as for longevity of the T&C goes, our two Dodge Grand Caravans (twins of the T&C) are fast approaching a combined quarter of a million miles, and they've been virtually bullet proof. In addition to regular maintenance, the 1998 has needed a starter, a door switch, a transmission and a vacuum battery tray over 145,000 miles. Not too shabby. Our 2003 has been similarly endowed with reliability in that it ... Read More
