The letter I received I referred to in post 153 states that the extended warranty applies only to 2006 and 2007 Caravan, Grand Caravan and Town & Country minivans. It does not mention any exclusions except that the extended warranty does not cover other A-C parts. It applies only to the rear evaporator. If some other component failed, then this extended warranty would not apply. There is a phone number listed ... Read More
Our new chrysler town and country had the front brakes replaced at 12500 miles - on our dime b/c it was out of the warranty period. Then the brakes and rotors replaced again at 22000 - chrysler picked that one up because it was within the 12000 warranty period on the brake pads. They replaced the front rotors 3 months later because they were warped and causing the car to shimmy ... Read More

I too have had brake problems with my Town and Country 2008 van. I first need new rotors and pads at 11,000. Chrysler covered that under warranty. The second job I had done at Midas, they had to replace the front brake pads and resurface the rotors two more times (in the last two months) because ... Read More
My 97 Town and Country developed a howling noise under the hood.Initially it was diagnosed as a tranny problem, but I later found that it was not the tranny, but the AC compressor. I had a Chrysler mechanic replace it with a rebuilt one at a pretty high cost.It helped, but the noise while reduced,is still there. He told me not to worry about it.Any thoughts?
I own a 1997 Chrysler town and country, and have had electrical problems since the day I bought it. I have had the van towed home many times only to have it start a few hours later. Took my 06 T&C to a dealer to have it serviced. They changed the oil & everything checked out ok except there was a problem in the steering rack. Had some noise in the steering the past couple of weeks so I listened. The steering rack was leaking fluid and it was going into the boots which could cause a problem of locking up. Hi. I hope by now you have solved this. For others with this problem, however, have your fuel pump wiring checked. A rodent had chewed through mine (1997 T&C), resulting in continuous successful engine cranking without ignition, because the engine was not getting fuel. Repair of the wiring took care of it. Do not let the mechanic charge you for an expensive fuel pump replacement until they have first checked out ... Read More

I have a 1997 Chrysler Town & Country V6, 3.8L with just over 100k miles on it. It has been a relatively reliable vehicle up until a couple of years ago. At that time the car began to intermittently not start. The battery was fine and charged, the starter would ... Read More
