There are a lot of very passionate opinions on this forum, particularly from the Mopar people. The problem is passion often overrides civility, objectivity and reason. I guess that comes from a lot of put down over the years and having auto magazines not really giving Chrysler products the credit they deserve. While they did have some problems back in the 1990's, most have been cleared up in 2,000. But there ... Read More

My beef with CR is that they are making judgments about reliability and quality for new cars. The truth is that we won't know reliability and design problems or quality issues associated with certain cars until they get some mileage and years behind them. It wasn't fair to give that glowing review of the Odyssey for years when the model was new. Most cars don't have problems until after 50,000 miles ... Read More

I'm glade to hear that you have had less repairs then we have. Let me ask though, what repairs have you had done, big or small, up to 174K? At 131k miles, I had my main cooling fan (radiator fan) replaced due to motor failure. My brake master cylinder developed a very slow leak around 155k miles - had that replaced. Most recently, I had a developing crack in my radiator, ... Read More

At the time, we were having such problems with the '88 Grand Voyager, I was all set on getting rid of it for a '92 Town & Country. But I FINALLY realized all those bills that I kept getting from the AWFUL local Chrysler dealer mechanics were just a bunch of you know what. Plus in 1990-1993 when the major problems were happening, what minivans were there? Ford Aerostar? Ummmm, I ... Read More

I think Chrysler vans are finally on par with the other competitors now in terms of quality and I'm glad to hear that you've had such good luck with your '99. I'm just thinking when I look at vans again for the 2004 model year, the Toyota and Chrysler vans will be the only vans with the luxury features I'm looking for. That's great that Honda is finally offering heated leather ... Read More

Well I see now you moved to Pitcarin (your country icon previously showed Kazakhstan) - I always thought it was against the law to drive Chrysler in Pitcarin! (just kidding - where is it any way?) Kazakhstan - where I was - it was a flat desert with nearest settelment 2 days of driving away, camels and a whole lot of scorpions. I have to report I successfully programmed the remote ... Read More
