    If you are going thru batteries then it is almost assured your alternator. There are quick tests and easy too, you can do to see if it is your alternator.

    Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same problem. I have gone through three batteries since Nov 2010. I Drive it every once in awhile. I thing it may be the Alternator.

    Hey, It could be a number of things the ecu probably needs to be re programmed. It sounds like a problem with your anti theft system, things to look into are the anti theft relay, the control module, speed control sensor, map sensor, fuses, terminal connectors/wires. also check the dealer ship for any recalls. sometimes the keys go bad and you have to have a new one made. or the fingers ...     My 2005 Sebring did the exact same thing tonight. I'm not sure if it's the Crankshaft Position Sensor or something else. How easy or difficult is it to replace that sensor? Has anyone actually fixed the problem themselves?

    The past history of the 2.7 v6 engine is not very good. Four or five years ago these engines had a sludging problem and problems with the timing chain.
