Stuck starter on 2004 Sebring Convertible

My daughter has been driving this car and it stalled on her. She took it to a mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. She has been afraid to drive it and it has been sitting for several months. I tried to start it and the battery was dead, so I put a battery charger on it. Had the same downshift problem with my 2002 Sebring convertible. Chrysler refers to it as harsh downshifting. They have issued at least two Technical Service Bulletins involving 4-3 downshifting. I am not sure what these bulletins say. My problem would show up after my speed had reached at least 30mph and the transmission had gone up to at least 3rd to 4th gear. ... Read More...

We have a 2004 Sebring Touring..The emergency light comes on and dings when you are going down hill and it also comes on when you push the brake (most times)..a few times it has come on when we are just driving. The emergency braske is not on and it does not seem to work when we put it on. The light just keeps coming on..Any ideas as to why?????? Read More...

I sent a post a couple of weeks ago stating that my new 2004 Convertible would start then immediately stop. The tow truck drive was able to start it and the Ford dealer technician was also able to strt the engine. It seems to be working fine for me. My car had been stalling at first only a couple of times a month. Then it moved to being stalled quite frequently. It would stall all the time. So my fiance' told me to just keep it on full. So over the past 3 weeks every times it gets 3/4 full I just put in 8 dollars to fill it back up. It hasn't stalled on me yet. I own a 2004 Sebring Conv and this has been the one of two problems I have had so far. Twice the rear defroster cable snapped off the window. It does seem to be installed tight. After the second time they replaced the ENTIRE rear window. It took two days as they needed to remove the entire top. Best result was it has not broken since and I had the top restretched like new ... Read More...

I have a 2004 Sebring with the same exact problem-the top is wearing in 4 spots-2 on the top sides and 2 on the sides of the rear window. you can see the 2 places on the rear black trim where the top is rubbing. I had the first top replaced about 1 year ago-it also wore through in 2 of the places. My current top is worn in the same 4 places and has worn right through in the top ... Read More...
