Chrysler Sebring Problems and Solutions

Re: 2004 Sebring Touring Limited [stevensgal88]

Went through this with a 2001 Sebring. Solution - I called the Chrysler hot line and arranged for dealer to get his fanny chewed. Then, I took the car to a local Dodge dealer, and, they managed to fix all the problems that the Chrysler dealer couldn't.   Regards: Oldengineer Read More...

Re: 2001 Sebring Convertible [jcach]

jcach, the wind screen most definitely stops the wind. Its the best accessory I bought for my 2002 Chrysler Sebring GTC. However I bargained with the dealer and got the screen for $150.00 (I don't think these screens are big sellers). Go get one and be careful installing. Read More...

New Touring Sapphire Blue over Sandlewood w/ Sandlewood Cloth Top

Purchased a new 2004 Sapphire Blue over Sandlewood Sebring Conv. Touring model, loaded with everything except ABS Traction Control. I have been looking at convertibles for a while, with my short list being the Sebring, 2004 Toyota Solara Conv. and 2001 Saab 9-3 Conv. So far I am quite happy with my choice. We have had good luck with Chrysler/Dodge products in ... Read More...

Front End Issues Continually 2001 LX Sebring

I've had my Sebring into the local dealer numerous times starting early in the warranty. The vehicle now has only about 30,000 KM on it. It started with a clunking noise in the right front end as I passed over sewer holes. They said it was a control arm bushing which they changed. Little better but still there. Took it back and they replaced another bushing. Still ... Read More...

2001 Lemon or not?

I have at 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXi sedan. I have had water leak in 7 times. I have lost my lemon law arbitration because the 4th problem was not within the specified mileage. However, I do have a 3 year and 36,000 mile warranty that the dealer and Chrysler must honor. I am taking it in again next week. The 5 Star Dealers Master Mechanic who has looked at it 4 times is going ... Read More...

2001 LXI Sedan

Bought my 2001 Sebring Sedan LXI in July 2001. Loved it from the first time I saw it in 2000. Several irritating problems though: 1.) 2-Months old - Rattle under middle of car. 5* Dealer tightened but every time there is a temperature change w/ weather (warm to cold) rattle comes back. 2.) 4-Months old - Whinning/Humming Noise coming from front end (transmission) ... 2001 Chrysler Sebring sedan problems

I bought a brand new (leftover) 2001 Chrysler Sebring in Nov. 2001. It was a quiet ride...for about 2000 miles. Dealt with a rattle under the middle of the car which was remedied after 2 visits by tightening exhaust. Around 4500 miles noticed a loud creaking noise in the front end when turning. Have been back five times since. So far the Five Star Chrysler Dealer ... Read More...

2001 Sebring Covertible LXI

I own a 2001 LXI. I previously owned a 97 JXI. The 97 was a dream to own. The 2001 is a different story. I like the new body/interior design but the shifting of the automatic transmission with the 2.7 is not as smooth as the 97 / 2.5 V-6. Anyone noticing the same with theirs? I have spoken to the dealership and they state it is operating normally. I beg to differ. It clunks ... Read More...

New Sebring in Toronto!!

Hi all Sebring owners! I have: 2001 Chrysler Sebring Coupe Lxi Black w/beige leather interior moon roof, chrome 17" wheels (ABS), 4-disc cd in-dash changer. So far 11,500 beautiful km's. I always get all sorts of compliments on this car for how good it looks and how smooth it rides. Great interior space for a sports luxury coupe (esp. in the rear seats) I keep looking ... How ya doin'?

This is Steve from New Jersey. My company ended its fleet car program this spring, and all us employees have been forced to use our own cars. After 20 years driving company cars (and dreaming of convertibles), I was forced to buy a car for the first time in my life. After test driving a 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXi convertible, there really was no other car worth considering. ... Read More...
