I had the same problem with my 2001 Cnv and found the problem to be the white plastic connector on the back of the heater/ac knob(choice of ac/heat/floor/vent etc.) I removed the plastic shroud containing the control knobs and with the heat and lights on- wiggled this connector to find with a little bit of upward pressure, the heat would return to normal operation. ... Thanks.. I ended up getting it started. I replaced the #8 fuse in the engine (it didn't look bad though) and after that it started up-had to give it gas though to get it going. It didn't die though. Now, having other problems as well, it's shifting really hard from 1st to 2nd and it feels like it's going to die when you come to a stop, the idle drops really low then comes ... Read More...

Last night I drove my daughter's car and nothing felt abnormal..when I got home she got into to leave and it wouldn't start. All the lights are working. I see a lot of people saying the crank sensor, is that the same as a crank shaft sensor?? Where is it in the engine and is it very hard to replace. I bought a 99 sebring coupe 2 days ago, same noise drove me nuts, sounded like I needed a complete front end rebuild...........open your hood , there is a black rubber cap on top of your front struts, spray it generously with white lithium grease (it comes in a spray can,$3 at your local hardware store). The boot rubs on the metal housing and makes that awful noise. ... Read More...

I have a 2002 LX and I bought the car with 19K and all was fine through 03-04. Late last Winter, I noticed a groaning squawking sound in the front end at start and stop. At first I thought it needed a lube job but it is factory sealed. I as well do not notice the noise when the weather gets warmer. I will llook into new struts since now at 70K they may be due. I need to find the drain holes in my 2001 Chrysler Sebring Sedan LX, after lifting the carpet up in the back seat and some on the side of the seat i found over 3 inches of water under and in the carpet, and it smelled horrible!! i got most of the water out but th carpets are still soaked, i needed to know where the drain holes are before i pull everything out...I tried the ... Occasionally, I have the same problem with my 2001 Sebring. Ever since I got the car in 2001, I would have minor glitches with the A/C from time to time. Sometimes the fan would come on, but I wouldn't get any air (it would be blowing in 'heat' mode or 'defrost' mode) or I would get hot air instead of cool air.
