A/C Compressor won't turn off

I have a 2000 Chrysler Sebring JXI Convertable.(160,000 miles) My A/C won't turn off and if i turn the blower on a lower setting or off, it will freeze up. I know that the A/C compressor is constantly on, and ive tried pulling the A/C fuse out, relays but it won't turn off. (i did turn off the a/c button). i have a chrysler sebring, 2000 JXI convertable.160,000 miles. The engine has knocked a little for a couple monthes. but then i tried plus gasoline instead of regular. the engine light came on a day after and the knocking got worse, its now somewhat noticable, especially when i speed up. I have a 2000 Chrysler Sebring lXI and the last year and a half has been nothing but hell. the engine light stays on, that sound in the morning after a cold start up sounds like there rocks inside the engine. i have spent over 2,000 in the past year alone and I am just done with the car. I've had the same intermittent problem with my 2003 Sebring Limited convertible. Early 2005, dealer replaced the multi-function switch on the steering column. This fixed the problem. However, just last night the instrument cluster went dark again. This morning it was lit up fine. Looks like it's time to see the dealer again for another muti-function switch ... Read More...

Eventually the cluster stayed dark. I ended up bringing the car to the dealer since my mechanic couldn't fix it. The dealer replaced a module behind the dash and that worked for about a week. Long story short: 4 more trips to the clueless dealer who ended up replacing the entire instrument cluster--cost me $800 and a lot of aggrevation. BTW: Chrysler is no longer ... Read More...
