I found no successful methods and ended up replacing the top after the car flooded (water runs into a reservoir behind the back seat and sits if the drains are plugged (as mine were), causing the floor pan to repeatedly fill up...ugh!) i just bought a 2000 sebring jx convertible and my back window is in with gorilla tape. were you ever able to find what works to seal the back window.
Ironically enough, its also Hunter Green, but with a black top, black leather interior, and the gold rims as well. I've had this car since 2001 and its been great to me the whole time I've owned it, and now has 71,000 miles, but I have to sell it soon, and honestly I do not want to. Interesting....real time troubleshooting assistance. My neighbors 2001 Chrysler Sebring just did the same thing. After checking a few things I came in an searched "starting" on this thread. Replaced the blown 20 amp starter/fuel pump fuse in teh engine compartment and the car started right up. I assume the fuel pump was the cause and may be on its last legs.

My 2000 chrysler sebring JXI convertible horn won't sound when I depress the proper area in the center of the steering wheel. But it does sound when I lock-arm alarm with the remote key fob. Anybody know why this is?

i have a chrysler sebring, 2000 JXI convertable.160,000 miles. The engine has knocked a little for a couple monthes. but then i tried plus gasoline instead of regular. the engine light came on a day after and the knocking got worse, its now somewhat noticable, especially when i speed up. Do you think that the gas is linked to this?

I've had the same intermittent problem with my 2003 Sebring Limited convertible. Early 2005, dealer replaced the multi-function switch on the steering column. This fixed the problem. However, just last night the instrument cluster went dark again. This morning it was lit up fine. Looks like it's time to see the dealer again for another muti-function switch replacement. Looks like Daimler Chrysler switch is designed for short life.
Eventually the cluster stayed dark. I ended up bringing the car to the dealer since my mechanic couldn't fix it. The dealer replaced a module behind the dash and that worked for about a week. Long story short: 4 more trips to the clueless dealer who ended up replacing the entire instrument cluster--cost me $800 and a lot of aggrevation. How do I get a copy of the original warranty for a 2000 Chrysler Sebring convertible? I need to determine what is covered in original for after market warranty.
I own a 2000 chrysler sebring convertible that is doing crazy unexplainable acts! Recently I have experienced the doors and interior lights flashing and locking and unlocking. No mechcanic has figure out the mystery . Also the service engine soon light stays on been reset at least ten times still on. Doc

I've had my JXI for 3 years, it has 60,000 miles on it. Lately its been running hotter than normal, specifically when in stop and go traffic and low speed situations. I need to turn the heat on to keep it from overheating. It overheated once so I pulled over let it cool down then it ran fine, but it ran at a higher temp than normal. Strange thing is it ... Sebring convertibles are notorious for this problem. The wiring lead to the rear window heating element is strung as tight as a banjo string. Chrysler must have saved about a hundredth of a cent in wire costs. After a while, the metal tab that is glued to the window pops off. Check and see if it is dangling around behind the head liner.
