I have a 1996 Sebring Convertible Jxi 2.5L. I want all of you to know that I had this stalling problem, and it was very scary. I stalled on the freeway and thought I was going to get crushed by a semi truck, I also stalled at stops and on normal streets. I thought I probably would die in my car because of this. I am kind of having that same issue however I am not sure.......... I NEED HELP! I have a 1996 Chrysler Sebring Convertible JXI 2.5L I am driving down the freeway at 65 mph, and my engine fails on me, like I am running out of gas! I haven't heard anything back about the car cutting out. The garage that I brought it to is now closed due to a electric fire there so I have been waiting on an appointment at the local Chrysler dealership. Just my luck they dont have an opening until the end of next week. Read More...

In response to several (I counted 10) messages on this board re the crunching/squeaking noise in the steering, especially at cold temps and when braking. I recently purchased a 1996 Sebring Conv. I noticed that it seemed to be racking up the miles too quickly. I noted the distance to my place of employment as 37 miles. In two different vehicles the distance is only 23 miles, a variance of about 38%.
