EDITORS' RATINGS OVERALL SCORE:

Overall

RATING

The PT Crusier's retro-styling has survived if not thrived. Chrysler continues to reinvent the PT with turbo and convertible variants that provide more fun than the base model.

DETAILED EDITORS' RATINGS

Dynamics

RATING

The turbo engine option and somewhat tossable chassis make the PT lively. The base-level engine, however, is weak.

Comfort

RATING

Space up front is adequate, but some might not prefer the upright seating position. Ride quality is generally smooth.

Function

RATING

Slightly smaller than the HHR, the PT Cruiser still provides a good amount of cargo space and flexibility. The control layout is simple and easy-to-use.

Design/Build Quality

RATING

The PT Cruiser's shape is familiar, perhaps too much so. The convertible variant is unique, however. Build quality is average.

DETAILED PROFILE:

Image Enhancer Fun retro-styling.

High Performer Available turbo engine.

Cargo Hauler Comparable cargo capacity to average small wagons.
