Along with my list of pt issues, My 2005 pt rims were leaking at after 2 years. Ruined all tires due to constant air pressure loss. That is when you get a radial shift and tires become toast and you get a shimmy, or separatiation of thread. Chrysler Dealer refurbished them under warranty, but I had to bitch loads before they did. I have a 2005 Pt Turbo. Power steering hose has burst no less than 5 times in the last 2 years, under warranty at the time. Well, again it happened to the same hose near the rack and pinion, No, by the rad, oil just spashed, but now it is off of warranty. Still asking chrysler for a free fix. 6,000 klms Canada over warranty. Anyone else have the same issue. I feel it must ... Read More...

As you can see by topic I have had a very bad whine everytime I turn the wheel no matter what the speed is. Chrysler repair said that this common in Cruisers and nothing can be done about it. Hello, I just bought and a 2006 PT Cruiser and it quit for the very first time last Sunday (doing 70 mph). All I can think of is, oh great I'm stuck with a Lemon. At any rate I have had Chrysler vehicles for years and one thing that always seems to go out on them is the Ignition coil, which controls the spark. I bought an 2006 base model with A/C, keyless, CD satellite radio and an auto trans for $11,200.00 (plus tax & lic) in November...a great deal on a very good transportation car. I don't think there are any differences between the '06 and the 2007 because the PT was just significantly refreshed in 2006. I would certainly buy this car again. It is not an exciting car ... I wouldn't buy a PT Cruiser GT Convertible if it was the last car on earth. My wife and I purchased a brand new 2005 Turbo and we have had nothing but problems with it.
