Review
I ordered my PT 6 months before the dealers could sell them (early July- 1999) and I loved it. Now at 61,000 miles and driving from Illinois to West Virginia about 2 times per year I'm not sure I would buy another.... I love the classic style and the "look" you get from someone who thinks your customized cruiser kicks butt, but the overall durability is quite lacking...
Favorite Features
The general look of the car, I mean come on, this baby is style in a nut- shell! I love the interior and the placement of all the controlls, very easy to reach.
Suggested Improvements
FIX THE PAINT PROBLEM!!!!! If I'm not alone on this please let Chrysler know. The paint on the rear quarter panels is peeling HORRIBLY!!! Also, when you have the windows down at highway speeds you get that ear shattering humming (?) noise that can drive you insane!

I am extremely disappointed in the value that my car has held. I bought almost a top of the line care and it is already worth less than 1/2 of what I paid for it. This car was not a good investment on my part. I am also disappointed in the power. Come on for 20,000 couldn't we get a little more power??

My wife had to have this vehicle and I was skeptical at first. Fortunately she was right. We love it.

Seats sit upright with plenty of support. Rides good for a small wheelbase.

Little more zip to the start up.

Review
I almost didn't buy this PT because of all of these needles about the lack of engine performance. But I drove it once and I was hocked. Below 65 it drives & handles like my old 1965 356SC Porsche. I don't baby this puppy and throw it around pretty well. Accelerating into highway traffic is a breeze! (Standard trans) Mileage in town is 23 MPG & I don't do enough highway to track it. Get a life people! You should have bought a standard!

Retro styling, space, performance. I'm glad that I didn't listen to these reports & tried one for myself.
Suggested Improvements
Even at 23 MPG I could use some more mileage, but I guess that I could get that if I kept my foot off of the floor.

Review
Nice on a long trip, holds a lot of stuff. Front is low to the ground. Be careful over speed bumps and steep drive ways. No problems so far @ 19000 miles.

I like the removable seats, sunroof, shelf/table in back. Plenty of head room front and back.

Could use more engine power.

Review
I love my PT for it's unique and functional styling and genuine fun to drive! The design concept of retro car and mini-mini van versatility is perfect for my needs. The upright seating position is a plus for stiff knees. Fit and finish are excellent and with the dual exhaust, running boards and detailing I've added...it's the coolest PT in these parts. Going for the Turbo!

Review
This is a fun car to own. Cruiser owners seem to be somehow linked once on the road. It is common to exchange a "thumbs up" when passing a Cruiser. I am disappointed in the performance and the gas mileage to the point of wanting to sell the car although I will be holding on to it.
Favorite Features
This is an extremely comfortable car to ride in. The leather, heated seats are great. I love the look of the car. The red is a great color and the body style just looks good.
Suggested Improvements
Either improve the gas mileage to the mid 20's (I get 17 around town and barely 20 on the open road) or improve the engines performance. I'd choose the performance. A V6 would be very nice.

Review
I have always wanted a PT Cruiser, and the opportunity finally presented itself, I am thrilled! I own and ride a Harley, and feel the same excitement and anticipation of customizing this car and owning it forever, that I did and do about my bike. I have found myself giggling outloud while driving, hopefully the tinted windows hide my apparent newly aquired insanity :p.
Favorite Features
Exterior style, just speaks for itself. The stereo with CD and tape player is awesome. Love the back seat and cargo area funtionality. The style of the interior certainly helps me from missing my Cadillac Seville I traded in on the Cruiser!
Suggested Improvements
A little more acceleration would be nice....but I can definately deal with it. I understand that they have fixed this issue in the newer models.
