2005 was the only year that Chrysler offered the 7/70 transferable powertrain warranty. You might be close to the 7 years and probably over the 70k. If it had very low mileage, you still might be in luck. Good luck.

What you describe is not so much an engine problem as a dealer service problem! After pulling the engine three times someone has to be doing something wrong! Luckily you have a 2005 which came with a 7/70 powertrain warranty that is transferable even if you are not the original owner. This is the only year I am aware of where Chrysler offered this. Hopefully you have documentation for oil changes and scheduled maintenance. I would fight Chrysler hard to honor your powertrain warranty. Good luck!

Just experienced this problem last weekend for the first time. Jumped it and it started but prior to that, it was dead as a door nail. Another little wrinkle that has arisen is that the fan is permanently on (when the ignition is "on"). Strange. Anyone with clues on any of this, I'd love to hear. Like others, never again will I buy a Chrysler product.

If you feel its burning oil more faster than the 3000 mile checkup, every time you change the oil, you can ask the attendant to fill it 1/3 above the normal filling line which will give you more time and less worry when you are ready to change the oil. Changed the oil filter and purchased a new sender. Can't get the plug off the sending connection, broke the red lock mechanism attempting to remove with a screwdriver. I am so disgusted I will drive them engine dead and sell it for scrap.

I am going through this now with a 05 3.8. My oil light came on, I turn of the engine and restart, the light stays off for the trip. Now this occurs every morning. I have changed the oil and filter and no change in condition. Haven't noticed oil consumption, have 95k with no trouble previously.

I am scheduled to turn in my 2005 Pacifica in September. Unfortunately, in the past week I had a flat in my driver side rear tire. I finally bought a 2008 new Limited with all options on Ebay for $29,000 new looking at many other options. I have a leased 2005 Limited which as been terrific and every way. Ohio Lemon law allows you to ask for court cost and attorney fees. You can go on line and read the law, it doesn't take some one from Canada giving misinformation. Every state allows you to research the law.

Wayne: Attorney fees will eat you up just as much as if you traded it in. However, have you attempted a buy back? That only costs you a fee per mile of use. How bad is your shudder. Update: I have had the second TC installed in the vehicle along with the latest TSB Flash (March 2008) and it performed well for the first 300 miles but now have the same problems with shudder and hard shifts and in places worse than before. barr1 - my TC was replaced with about 2500 miles. I only owned the car for about 1 month when they replaced it. Bought the car with 1500 miles. Still shudders by the way. Good luck. Apparently so, there is some wiring harness differences. One solution I could go with is to replace the Body Harness, but that is quite a job. The same thing happened to my 2005 Pacifica with 40K miles. I took my problem to the dealer. They performed trottle body service and the problem was fixed. The service was $100.
I have a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica with the in-dash 6 disc CD/DVD player with headphones. I purchased a y-splitter (red & white wires) to go from the ipod (iphone) to the RCA jacks and no audio is coming out. The CD or DVD plays, but I can't seem to find a mode button to select for the audio jack. i.e. dvd, cd. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Ashley

As far as the stalling issue goes I have an 07 that is only 3 months old so a bulletin that is 18 months old should allready be corrected before the production of mine but they did do a software update that did not correct it!

Not sure where this fits in... however we have a 2005 awd touring and we just had the tie rods replaced. We heard knocking sounds from the front end when turing the steering wheel.
