Dan Wiese AUTOMOTIVE WRITER Wednesday, Jul. 19 2006 DETROIT — Although the 2006 Chrysler Pacifica, with its available 250-hp V-6, could hardly be described as under-powered, Chrysler officials have concluded that Pacifica’s groovy new hood deserves to cap a few more ponies. Boasting a mild redesign, which includes new headlights and hood grooves — or “strakes,” as Chrysler likes to call them — the 2007 Pacifica features a freshened look. The ... Read More

I own a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica FWD bought new, and my headlights are crystal clear. I would say that fogged headlamps are a sure sign that your Pacifica was never garaged and spent 100% time outdoors in the sun. UV damage from sunlight can really do a number on a car that is not garaged . Damage like this is not covered by any warranty, from Honda to Chrysler to Mercedes. ... Read More

Hello everyone! I bought a pre-owned Chrysler Pacifica 2004 AWD form a Honda Dealer. Well, I took it to a Chrysler service center since the headlights in the vehicle are both bad. They look badly fogged but you can see some white layer on the inside of the lens. Chrysler does not want to repair this and so does Honda. What do i do? Please help me, because its hard to ... Hello everyone! I am a first user in this forum and i desperately need help with headlight bulb installment. I have very bad eye vision and bought a 100 dollar Phillips xtreme vision light bulb in the headlight. One problem is the manual says to unscrew two screws on top of the headlight and PULL OUT THE HEADLIGHT. The problem is the headlight does not come out, even after intense pulling. ... Read More

I have a 2005 Pacifica purchased in Sept 2005. I have had numerous problems - minor and major; fuel gauge, heated seat, moulding, shifter solenoid, and the most concerning is the unexplained stall on a slow left turn that has occurred twice, 6500 and 8600 miles. It's been 6 months since the purchase and the vehicle has been in for service 6 times totaling 23 days for 5 different problems. Chrysler ... Read More

Robert, I did not get my best offer from the first Chrysler dealer I talked to, so shop around. My best offer came from DeMontrond Chrysler /Jeep in Conroe, Tx. , and they obtained my new 2004 Pac from a dealer in Galveston, Tx. They drove it to Conroe, and I picked it up there. I would shop around, You are in the driver's seat, so to speak! ;) I will ... Read More

First of all ponggod, I agree with your salesman that a Pacifica can be had for $25,000 with leather . I paid $25,300 for a new 2004 Pacifica w/leather and "26R package" that is a host of upgrades like seat memory, vehicle informatin center, adjustable pedals, 10 way drivers seat, etc.... I understand from these forums that 2005 and later Pacificas were offered in more trim levels than my 2004 was, ... Read More

Yes , gloves will help, also be sure to apply some sort of protection to the chrome trim to prevent scratches when that headlight assembly pops out. Blue painter's tape would do, something that protects, but isn't too hard to remove afterwards. It is helpful to know that the headlight assembly is held in place at the bottom by a clip, if you can get your gloved (latex is good) hands ... Read More

guspac, you can do oil changes once you get your oil pan issues worked out. It is a 14mm drain plug, I use a cheap socket set , it works fine, I definitely hand tighten just a quarter turn after it is "just tight." No problems at all. I have also replaced the halogen headlights (three times, what's up with that), and I can do that in less time , with ... Read More
Please, do yourself a favor and KEEP the one you bought! As a Pacifica owner, I can tell you from experience that Chrysler has worked hard at improving these cars every year since they were introduced. My 2004 has had more problems then I have space and time to tell. Regards, 4daws.

Well, easy come, easy go. I returned the 2005 because it was hitting hard occaisionally when shifting gears. The best part is though that I drove 3 hours to Royal Gate Dodge near St. Louis and picked up an even better deal and car - a 2004 AWD Pacifica with heated seats, memory, sunroof, and chrome wheels. This was a Chrysler Certified Pre-Owned (meaning an 8/80,000 powertrain warranty) and I got ... Read More
I have a 2004 Pacifica and I have had battery problems since I bought the car. First I was told the DVD player was installed incorrectly. Symptoms are the same as I've read others have had. We, too, chose the Pacifica over the Pilot in 2004, because it seemed like a better bargain. Our Pacifica, unfortunately, was a lemon, and Chrysler bought it back from us after only 10 months of ownership. We had no desire to try another Pacifica. We have now owned our Pilot for the same amount of time and have taken it in for oil changes and routine maintenance. I have a 3 ... Read More

I have a 2004 PAC and have never been so disappointed with a vehicle. I have been experincing problems with vehicle not starting. The stalling does not happen to everyone, I have a 2004 Pacifica, it has had a couple of minor annoyances, but I have 29,000 miles on it and not a stall one. Period. I don't know what to tell you, I'm sorry, but a meteorite will hit Cedar Rapids, Iowa before there is a succesful class action lawsuit against Chrysler from disgruntled Pacifica owners............

I retrieved my 2004 Pacifica from the mechanic about 2-3 weeks ago and have not experienced the problem again (YET). Note that the mechanic nor the Dealer have fixed anything. I am, however out of hundreds of dollars in diagnostic fees, auto rentals, and a lot of lost time. Chrysler won't do anything and the independent mechanic and the Dealer's mechanic agree that they can't (won't) do anything unless the problem ... Read More

I also agree that you are one of the very few unlucky ones. My wife has had a 2005 Pacifica Touring since Sept of 2004 and other than the driver's window regulator breaking and being fixed under warranty, we have had no problems. Chrysler offered my wife a loaner car but we declined.
