Chrysler Crossfire / Crossfire SRT-6 Prices Paid and Buying Experience

  • Any recent purchases?

I have been keeping my eye on Chrysler Crossfires the last year since they announced they were discontinuing the model. Used prices spiked in the summer (makes sense). Yesterday I was online and saw a dealer selling a 2007 for 15k. I then saw today the same dealer selling 2 new '08s for 21K. I definately don't see a value for 7K difference for one year although it appears the '08 ... Read More

I was RIGHT when I started worrying about the health of the Big Three way back in early 2007. I predicted dire consequences for the Big Three if they couldn't stop losing market share. I had no idea of course of the bank crisis, etc, which I think accelerated what i feel was inevitable anyway. I was WRONG about the PT Cruiser. I remember saying "who would buy that mutt"? The ... Well, after haggling a few more days, the dealer came down to 15,857.00 plus tax and license. I walked out of Larry Reid's Bloomington Chrysler with a brand new 2007 base Crossfire coupe in black for 17,334.00. The MSRP was 30,745.00. I've been driving this car around for about 2 weeks now, and I like it more every day. It reminds me of my 1974 Triumph Spitfire, only with alot more ... Read More

Just bought a new oyster 2007 Crossfire Coupe less than two weeks ago from a local Chrysler Dealer which listed $38,000 plus. It has less than 1000 miles on it. Automatic, two tone interior, navigation, continental tires as far as I know every option. Truth is, I'm 57, wife thinks it's too small and shouldnt have bought it. I'd sell it for $24,000 and chalk it up to experience if anyone ... Read More

I just bought a 2007 Crossfire @ same dealership. List for $38,000+, supposedly bought for about $24,000 with a few fees slipped in. Drove it 200 miles, got a wild hair and asked dealership what they'd give me on trade for a 2007 Jeep Extreme and was quoted $16,000. Had it 4 days, 200 miles, $16,000....great investment. Will keep car, it seems to be fine, special, fun, fast, good looking, etc. ... Read More

I just made a deal on a 2007 LTD Coupe - auto/nav/asp tires/ 2-tone interior for $13,825.00 off MSRP. Could not get them to discount anymore, but they also dropped prices in eBAY as of yesterday on a few of the models listed. Lee's Summit Chrysler advertises 15,000.00 off msrp ... Read More

If you are interested in an SRT-6, they were only made in 2005. As that is the model I have, I am not that familiar with the differences over the years in the base coupe (yes, there are 2006 models). One of the perks about buying an older car is that the taxes and insurance are usually lower. The depreciation is really not a factor in buying a used Crossfire as ... Read More

Chrysler Ends Production of Ill-Starred Crossfire Date posted: 12-20-2007 Edmunds Inside Line article AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Chrysler apparently hoped that its slow-selling Crossfire would die a quiet death this week. The end came, without any official word or fanfare from the company, on December 17, when production of the vehicle ended at the Karmann plant in Osnabrück, Germany. Chrysler officials confirmed the end of production for Inside Line and noted ... Read More

I called the dealer and they actually sent me a window sticker that shows 2007. Most dealers do not have a clue, there are 2007 Crossfires on dealers lots and possibly 2008's depending on Karmanns output and the recent sale of Chrysler to Cerebus. The only Crossfire that is out of production is the SRT6, 2005 was the last model year.

The concept car you are talking about ids the Chrysler Fire Power. The car is not to replace the Crossfire, but to fill a space between the Crossfire SRT and the Dodge Viper. Right now the Fire Power is a concept, but will be produced in some fashion, most likely during the 2006 - 2007 production year and be priced around $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 range.
