This is a very nice car, only had one major problem, the fuel pump. However I keep having issues with oil sending unit. The part is only $11.00 at local auto part stores, but I have go through 4 of them. They sending unit leaks little drops of oil or the doggone oil pressure light comes on and goes off. The trunk don't like to stay open some times too.

Favorite Features

Roomy inside of the car. Nice big trunk to put things in.

Suggested Improvements

Fix the stupid oil sending unit. It is a cheep design. Fix the trunk to where it will stay open.

Review

I love the car when I 1st bought it (used). It only had 59K miles on it. I thought it was a steal. Perhaps 6 months after the purchase I know why. I started hearing rumbling/throttling noise that sounded internal. Smaller garages wouldn't touch the problem. No engine lights were on. I thought Chrysler would know what it was better then anyone. They're more expensive but they would know their car better than anyone. I had to replace the crank shaft at a cost of $3,100. I contacted Chrysler to see if they could help cover some of the cost since it only had 66K miles on it but they were no help. The dealer kept my car for 8 days with no loaner. Now the A/C is shot & the engine light is on!

Favorite Features

The car is very comfortable - heated leather seats are great! I also get a lot of compliments on the analog clock on the dashboard. I love the white/green dashboard lights as well.

Review

This is my second Concorde. I like its style and my previous experience with the same model and my local dealership made me hardly consider any other car. I'm never embarrassed to give someone a ride, always enjoy its comfort on long trips, yet get good enough gas mileage to drive by myself. I'll drive it to 200,000.

Favorite Features

I enjoy the ride, handling, acceleration, great gas mileage for its size (I average 25.4mpg), styling, and huge trunk.

I have owned Cadillac's for the previous 12 years, but bought a Chrysler for better gas mileage. I couldn't be happier with my Concorde Limited. I put 36k a year on it and I have had no problems. It has every option I was used to in my caddy and has held up 10x better. I would highly recommend this car to anyone!!!

Favorite Features

Memory seats, heated seats, low maintenance costs and plenty of power

Suggested Improvements

softer ride

Review

I bought the car with 44,000 miles on it. It is a great car! I love the power that comes in the 2.7 Lx package. The car has a lot of room and grea MPG! The only problem is that the car has trouble getting up hills not because of power but because of the transmission. Since it is a 4 speed automatic it you have to gas it to get it to shift down. When it does though it goes with no problems. I love the car! It has some trouble going throgh snow, but no really a problem other than that

Favorite Features

A lot of room. Trunk space, power, options, and nice design

Suggested Improvements

Come standard with trac control, 5 - speed transmission

The car is a very nice car when it runs. When the car reached 30,000 miles it fell apart. 2 Coil packs ,4- o2 sensors,5 thermostats ,1 cat. all trans lines and 1 big headache! All this in 2 years. The car now has 69,000 miles on it and still overheating. Stay away from this car!

This car is fast and luxurious. Its fuel economy is great for a car of its size. Trunk space is so large you could get lost in there.

Favorite Features

Moonroof, small turning radius, in-dash CD changer

Suggested Improvements

They shouldn't have quit making this model.

Review

I bought a certified LX (2.7L V6) 3 years ago and it has served us very well. No major mechanical problems, just routine maintenance (changing fluids, brake pads, tires). Real-world fuel mileage averages in the 21-24MPG range (the advertised 28MPG only happens if you drive at or below 60MPH) Some minor electrical problems: window motor went out, flickering dome light. Those are the only reasons I didn't give it a 10 on build quality and reliability. I have had no engine problems with the 2.7.

Favorite Features

It's huge and it still gets good mileage. That's a hard combination to find. Very smooth ride. Turning is very agile for a car this big. Cloth seats are comfortable on long-distance drives.

Suggested Improvements

Parallel parking it is...risky?... because the hood and the trunk both slope down out of view. You basically have to guess where the car ends and make a leap of faith that you won't hit anything. Biggest suggested improvement: Bring cab-forward back! Why did Chrysler ever stop making this car?

2002 Chrysler Concorde LX 4dr Sedan (2.7L 6cyl 4A)

Review

I purchased this 2002 Concorde off lease with 17,000 miles on it and now have 118,000 miles on it in under 4 years. The car handles well, gets anywhere from 26 to 30 miles per gallon depending upon where I'm driving (lots of rush hour stop & go) and I'm very pleased with it. The car has held up well and I recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well designed car.

Favorite Features

Handling - tracks straight & true and excellent handling with the lighter weight 2.7 engine up front.

Suggested Improvements

Although the exterior design was the draw for me, the hood line could have been a bit higher. It's hard to judge just where that egg-crate grill is and if you're too close to the wall or the back of another car. Getting in and out sometimes requires ducking your head so you don't hit the A-pillar.

Review

we have put 90k miles on this car in 4years. much more room on the inside compared to the Bonneville. the 3.5 h.o. engine has lots of pep. This has been the best car we have ever owned. the only repair was for an electric fan for the cooling system, that it in 90k and 4 years.

Favorite Features

sound system, heated seats, remote start, h.o. engine, smooth ride and very reliable.

Suggested Improvements

the car sits low to the ground for ride but that isn't good in the snow. A set of snow tires and removing the front valiance from the under side of the car makes all of the difference in the world.
