I have the exact same problem with a chrysler concorde 2000 with 88K miles on it. Although its not that big a deal it can be quite annoying at times. Was just stuck in traffic for an hour yesterday and the overhead lights started going crazy going on and off and sometimes flickering. Sorry to here of your problem. I experienced the same thing about 6 mo. ago. It ended up being either the input or output sensor for the transmission. Unfortunately for me , I spent 300.00 on it. I believe both sensors are only about 45.00. If you know anybody who is mechanically inclined have them install the sensors. It will save you a couple hundred bucks

While I was driving on the freeway yesterday, my speedometer stopped working. I continued to drive a short distance but I notice a hesitancy when I made the light. Hi, Just to let everyone know, I read somewhere else that the key cylinder tumblers get jammed because of dirt/sand/junk. To fix, with the key in the ignition, lightly tap the top of the key with a rubber hammer or handle of a screw driver 10 to 20 times. This will un-jam the tumblers. It definitely worked for me. Hi, I am having the same problem. I have a 1999 Concorde with 122K miles and it just locked up yesterday. My son removed the plastic covers and I can not see any obvious problem. Please share any info on this problem. Thanks. Vic

Our 2000 chrysler Concord engine failed and they are blaming us nobody wants to take the responsibility My wife took care of maint. on the car faithfully The chrysler dealership wants around $9000.00 to replace engine,another engine repair shop wants $7000.00 My insurance company will not put out any monies to get it replaced So what can we do,we really don't have funds to replace engine or purchase a new car... ... I love driving the Concorde, open the sunroof and crank the tunes. The car is 2 years old and still looks great. I love the front end on the 2000 model better than the new one. Only issues have been small and have been fixed ASAP by South Shore Chrysler in Braintree Ma.

I bought my '94 Concorde in late '93 and now have 155K miles so I should be qualified to comment. For your item #4, transmission problems seem to be caused by using other than Chrysler 7176+ or ATF +3 fluid. Never use Dexron or get ready for a re-build. I have had my Concorde for a tear now, and I am very happy. The only warranty item has been new windshield wipers. My dealer in Braintreee Ma, South Shore Chrysler is the best. My wife loves this car, she is not a car person like myself. This maybe the best car for the 1st year that I have ever owned. And I have owned a lot of new cars

I am 15 years old and my parents just purchased a 2000 chrysler concorde lxii(yes the extra i means something)we are extremely pleased with this purchase.we are coming out of an import minivan and are asounded that we can actaully carry more groceries in the enormous trunk than in the tiny space behind our old toyota's third row seat.is anybody else having as great a time with their concorde?

I was wondering if anyone knew of manufacturer-to- dealer incentives where present on the 2000 Concorde LXi. There is a rebate to consumer of $1000 till 12/13/99, which I found on the Chrysler site, but the Edmund site hasn't been updated to show this rebate.
