Chrysler Concorde

Re: 1994 Concorde - Replace Fuel Pump [yozho]

You do not have to drop the tank. On 93-97 chrysler concords, there is an access panel in the trunk. Pull back the carpet and trim and you will see an oval shape cover in the back of the trunk. Here is something you can do in case you dont believe me. It takes about 10 seconds. Lift the spare tire cover off in the trunk. Now pull the carpet up off the frame in the back of the ... Chrysler Concorde Reliability

My wife and I leased a new Concord in 1994 and liked it so much that we purchased the car when the lease was up in 3-years. We still have it, and we still love it. However, I would hate to think how much we would have spent on repairs had we not purchased a 70K mile/7-year bumper to bumper warranty. Our callas area dealership (Huffines) had really good technicians and ... Read More...

1994 Chry. Concorde Sounds Like a Train

I have a 1994 Chrysler Concorde with 149,000 miles on it and have experienced some of the typical problems. At 49,000 miles I lost my air conditioner and was told it would cost $450 to repair. For the past 100,000 miles, "open windows" substituted for "air conditioning". Living in the northeast, I did not consider "loss of AC" a serious problem. If I was given a quarter ... Read More...

1994 Concorde

Back a few months ago, my '94 3.5L 'Corde developed a miss. I checked the plug wires for continuity and resistance, changed the plugs, and checked the coil pack. All good. OK. As it got worse, I finally took it to the dealer. I took it to a 5 star shop even (but it was the only Chrysler dealer within 100 miles...). Well, it took them over a month to return the car to me, and ... Read More...

Transmission Problems on 94 Chrysler Concorde

I own a 1994 Chrysler Concorde. In August 1999 I started to have problems with the transmission at 68000 miles. The transmission was down shifting to fast causing the car to feel as if it was hit from behind. The dealer rebuilt the transmission for a low cost of $1930. I had an after-market warranty which covered most of the bill. Last week the transmission started ... Read More...

Re: Vibration in steering wheel

I have a 1994 Concorde with 31000 miles on it and recently noticed a vibration at various times and under various road conditions. I took it to a dealer and he said the inner tie rods were "worn out." The dealer replaced the tie rods and realigned the front end (which is required according to the service manual), at considerable expense. This may be the cause of your ... Read More...

warranty-needed for transmission

I currently own a 1993 Dodge Intrepid ES. I had to replace the transmission at 65,000 miles. My son has an 1994 Eagle Vision and replaced the transmission at 42,000. A neighbor had a 1996 Chrysler Concorde and had to replace the transmission at 38,000. Is there a pattern here? Chrysler's warranty is only 3 years/36,000 miles. I love the Intrepid, Eagle, Concorde ... Read More...

Don't get a Chrysler!

I own a 1994 Chrsyler Concorde and my husband is ready to shoot and bury it. It's in the shop right now with a broken head gasket. It has 63,000 miles, an oil change every 4K miles, and is treated with kid gloves. We're looking at a $1k + repair bill and aren't sure whether to have it fixed or try to dump it. Read More...
