gas mileage
Written by: intrepidspirit on Jul 6, 2004 8:47:26 AM
My leased 2000 300M got great gas mileage. When I turned it in, I bought a 2003 M. My wife recently got a new (demonstrator) 300M to replace her 2001, which was totalled. We have both noticed that the gas mileage has not been as good as the prior models (2000 & 2001). However, we have only 7,000 miles on each of the 2003's, so it may get a little better. ... Read More

By looking at your last posts, it looks like you have no clue what-so-ever about the LH platform. Maybe you are familiar with the other junk such as Altima's, Ford's, and Cadillac (Poorest rating in 2004). However, any of us can go to Chrysler's web-site and pull out the History of the 300M and give me facts. I've been reading those facts over and over since 1998, when I was 10. ... Read More

Chrysler stand is such a shame. No C, no new magnum, not even SRT. Bored reps did not even know that production version of C was already shown to public (one of them did not even know that such a car existed, seriously!). You can find brand new 2004 platinum edition 300M though. It has this special cheap plastic panels painted in silver. Chrysler is not even with the Mercedes anymore ... Read More

300C DMC problems
Written by: vacman1 on Oct 15, 2003 9:02:22 AM
All I can say is uck! I'm no fashion conscious guy but that's a face only a mother could love. Looks like a cross between a Jaguar and a Dodge Ram truck! As far as buying another chrysler never say never. When a door rusted off my 95 jeep cherokee I swore I'd NEVER buy another DMC again. The bottom line is that you'll probablly have better luck with a car ... Read More

A new Platinum series M....

...and I love it! It's a new Graphite 2004 Platinum Series 300M. It's also nice that they're using the "real" chrome aluminum wheels and the Special's blinker mirrors, making a very nice end to a very nice car. I especially like the color combo of this one: http://www.manassaschrysler.com/Chrysler/290124_1.html

I agree, Chrysler does not have anything worth serious consideration for 2004. That's why I bought another 300M and intend to keep it for a while. CTS originally caught my interest, but when I found it was a rebuild of the Catera, my interest waned, and then all the options brought the price too high. Also, they have had some 1st year problems if you check the CTS board. Interesting looking ... Read More

Chromed Plastic Wheels
Written by: daytona3 on May 30, 2003 10:10:35 PM
Does anybody have a picture of these? I can't really say that I can picture them. I know somebody showed a picture of a butane blue 300M awhile ago that had some of the cheapest looking wheels that I have ever seen. Those wouldn't be the ones would they? I have seen the same cheap looking wheels/hubcaps on the new 2004 Sebring sedan. They are a light plastic gray with the ... Read More

Maxima, Grand Prix, and 300M
Written by: daytona3 on Jun 2, 2003 9:44:57 PM
I think the Maxima has the most life of these three. The addition of a manual makes it a very tempting choice. I would love to test drive one to see what it is like. The 2004 Maxima does have some styling cues that are similar with the Saturn, which I am not thrilled with, but I think the design is growing on me. The new Grand Prix is a hit ... Read More

300 M'ers

For all you 300M owners who are upset the current model is in for a radical change, consider the Cadillac CTS. I was all set to purchase a 2004 300 M several months ago until I took a test drive in the CTS. I rented a 300 M several months ago from Dollar Rent A Car. I really liked the 300M, but I think the CTS is worth the $4,000 higher ... Read More

Wow! It looks like Chrysler has at least stirred up some controversy for our board. ruski - I agree. On it's own, perhaps as an Imperial, the 300C would be more palatable. But it doesn't seem like the successor to the 300M. dustin - I believe they go into production in late fall and will be on the market in February, 2004 -- as the 300N. I think the "C" designates ... Duke-I understand your point, I'm just a little shocked that you wouldn't know that a Chrysler 300M owners board full of (mostly) happy and proud 300M owners would naturally prefer their car over the C! I'm think it's stupid that they're calling it 'C' and not 'N,' but maybe they'll rechristen the production version. I personally think that the 300C is stunning. Perhaps many on this board don't like it because it's unexpected, being such a radical change from the 300M. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the M. I think it's one of the finest looking cars ever made. And I'm sad that production ... Read More

However, I am looking at it as the successor to the 300M rather than an entirely new car, and from that viewpoint, it falls short. If I look at it from an objective viewpoint, the car has some design merits. Actually, it seems right in ... Read More

Bigmike- Where do you live? For quite some time now, Chrysler has had 0.0% for 60 months or $3000 cash back on all 2003 300Ms, Concordes, and Intrepids. In addition, the 2004's also have a $1000 rebate. I'm not sure about the current incentives anywhere else, but in Delaware at least, Chrysler is currently offering either a $3,00 rebate or 0.0% up to 60 months on all 300M's. Sounds like great deals are ready to be had, probably due to slow sales and the fact that many early 2004's will be out very soon. But I wonder if it will only take a month or so to see ... Read More

Beach15, Sound like a case of an offspring who is passionate about cars versus parents who aren't. Since they're paying for it it's their call on what to buy, unfortunate for you. 2002 Chrysler 300m is about $1,000 less than 2001

Wow, those price cuts sure do rock. Starting MSRP for a 2002 300m is $28,995 with Destination while a 2001 $30,295. Gorsh, an Acura TL is $33,710! Hmmm it seems to me that everyone who is complaining about the 300m should either fork out the extra $5 grand for the imports or use that $5 grand for performance mods to make the 300m faster than any $34,000 Acura. Well, I did it. I just pulled the trigger on a 2001 Acura 3.2 TL after much deliberating. I honestly preferred the 300M, but in the end the Acura was just cheaper. I got a lease quote of $370 per month for 42 months with 15,000 a year. I only spent $1400 out of pocket. That blew away anything that Chrysler could do. I was a longtime lurker and I just ...
