Chrysler 300m Overhead Interior Lights
Hello, I recently purchased a 1999 300M and the overhead interior lights seem to be burnt out or might be an electrical problem. I can't seem to get the piece off to check the bulbs. I only see one screw and I took that out and the back seems to pull off a little but the front will not budge and I didn't want to break it. Please help me understand how to take this piece off ... Re: Saying hi [ruski_is_me]
My first 300M was a 1999. It was fully loaded, Inferno Red Crystal Pearl Coat with a tan leather interior. It was one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen, but it was a real pleasure to drive as well. I traded it for my second 300M, a 2003 Special in Midnight Metallic Blue, with a two tone gray and black leather interior. The upgrades of the Special made a great car ... Read More...
Checking in
Hope this message finds everyone well. My 2002 300M is now approaching 88,000 miles. Just had to replace the evaporator for the A/C system at a cost of $1450. Earlier in the year, replaced the battery (preventative maintenance) and tires (I actually got Eagle LS-2's and they have been fine). Also got the TSB taken care of for cracking bolts on front buckets (if ... Read More...

ATC Fan Stuck on High
I have a 1999 Chrysler 300M that has the Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) Unit fan stuck on high no matter what is selected (Auto, Manual or OFF). It comes on high when I start the car and cannot be turned off. I check the associated fuses (OK) and looked for stuck relays, but there are none associated with the ATC. Any ideas? That seems to leave the two ATC sensors ... Read More...
Re: Commong Chrysler 300M Problems? [mnewelski]
I have owned a 1999 300M and a 2004 300M Special, running each of them for about 75,000 miles. (I currently own a 300C). The '99 300M required standard wear item replacements (brakes, belt, hoses, battery, etc.) and then one of the electric fans went out. I replaced both fans (complete assembly) for a bit over $300, since I had planned to keep the car. The right rear ... Read More...
Chrysler Quality a best kept secret
There are a lot of misinformed and hard headed people out there that love to bash Chrysler. I have owned 2 Town & Country minivans, 2 300M's (a 1999 and a 2004 Special), and I now own 2 300C Heritage Editions. I would not have even considered buying these cars if they were not reliable. I used to be a Ford man until I got fed up with seeing my service writer about every three ... Read More...
Cruise Control Problems Chrysler 300M
I have a problem which has surfaced on my 1999 Chrysler 300M after about 125K miles. With no warning, the cruise control will disengage. On other occasions it will not activate when I hit the set button, or in some circumstances will be working fine, but when I must disengage because of traffic and attempt to resume, it will not work. The mechanics at my dealership ... Read More...

99 300M Fog/headlight Issue
I have a 1999 Chrysler 300M that I recently purchased, used. The car has been running fine, and while it needs a little work in all aspects, its been great. Today I was driving around and went to pick up my friend. I parked outside with my other friend in the passenger seat, and we were in there a good 15 mins with the radio and heat on. When I went to start up the car and leave, ... Read More...
In-Dash CD -- Again by ducati52
Chrysler describes a special shipping procedure that must be followed per the following Technical service bulletin. My guess is that these shipping screws were not installed by the seller as he had no knowledge of this requirement, and the unit was damaged in shipping. Hopefully you can share this withthe seller and come to an understanding. CD Changer Mechanism ... Read More...
