So is it a good value? Yes! It feels solid as a Mercedes and almost as luxurious (no electric seats). Itís fun to drive like a Mazda 3. It costs like a Corolla, after factoring in tax incentives and fuel savings (10 years ownership). The Volt has a unique character and more than skin deep beauty that makes owners proud and car enthusiasts rethink whatís possible.
Unlike hybrid cars or Corollas/Civics, the Volt is a pleasure to drive at any speed due to the chassis composure and smooth instant torque (if in sport mode). Some gearheads may prefer a heavier/more precise steering feel, but I would not detract points for that since this is not a track car. Setting the shift level to ďLĒ enables one foot driving with regenerative braking which improves both driving experience and energy savings. The dashboard feels like you are driving a prototype (this is a plus if you are a geek). Mylink (Bluetooth) works well with both a Window 8 Phone and a Nexus 4 phone.
Rearview camera should be included in the base trim both for safety and convenience.
Itís a great car for people 6í and under. If you are taller than 6 feet you may feel too close to the ceiling, both front and back.
The front A pillar is very wide. The windshield/roof line is such that it may hide traffic lights from view when waiting on the line.

Itís a 4 seater, not 5. But the 2 bucket seats in the back are very comfortable and look classy, especially with the optional arm rest.
Typically, youíll need to charge it every night. A Level 2 charger (240 Volt/30 Amp) is not necessary but recommended for maximum convenience.
