This sounds like a bad plug. I've replaced many plugs that have worn out. I would replace this plug with a 20 amp plug and make sure your wiring is up to code. The Volt charges in two modes 8amps and 12amps. It's funny you spent a month blaming GM and no time investigating your equipment?Report it
Apparently your wiring wasn't up to the task. Was your receptacle on a 15 amp line? Was the wiring the correct gauge? I'll bet not. Did you read the owners manual?Report it
