first check the flat grey connector thats in front of the fans , sometimes they get burn inside , second do you have rust inside the radiator? this indicates theres a air escape and is not completely sealed or have air inside , need to purge by loosing the 2 valves , one near the water pump and one near where the thermostat is.

My starter sticks intermittently when I start it, has almost from day one, I am the original owner of a 2001 with 67000 miles. And yes, the heater could be better, I think it's a matter of being underpowered considering all the space it has to heat up.

Hi, I have the same problem in a 2003 chevy venture. Did this (see below) solve the problem? 'Pull the eletrical plug apart under the drivers side of the van near the drivers seat and check all the pins in that plug. The main power pin going to the fuel pump might be shorting. Your diagnosis is likely correct but try this: 1. Get a can of mass air flow sensor cleaner and follow the directions to clean the MAF. 2. Change your air filter. While the solenoid is likely your problem, occasionally the MAF will get dirty and that combined with an air filter that has a little dirt in it will cause the PCM to get some wacky info from the MAF sensor ... Have the selenoid on the starter checked. It is what actually pushes the "fingers' to engage. sometimes you can tap on it with a hammer and the car will start.

If your engine has EVER overheated, I'd suggest having the compression tested to see if one of the head gaskets is blown. 2003 Venture LT AWD, 68,000 miles. Normal around town is 16-17 MPG. On a recent trip almost got 30 MPG. Secret was keeping the speed between 55-60 on the highway.
I was going to do it myself but the car was in for an oil change and I've been real busy at work so I let them do it.... In hindsight, I should have done it myself and saved some $ but unfortunately there are only so many hours in a day and most of mine were taken up.... Its not a bad job...just takes a little patience....

Depends upon how much...the big fear is that the level is so high that it: 1. Creates foam...the foam does not lubricate like the fluid and could lead to failure... 2. There are some cars where the flush has been known to ruin the trans although I don't believe that the Venture is one of them... My van is a lot older, however this has been happening to me and it has to do with the power booster for the ABS braking system failing. The engine has been loosing compression and there for shutting the system down and it does it at the moste in consistent times. May be this will help. Good luck.

Reference to my previous post #1476 May 18th 2003. This is the results from a dealer regarding my problem. A code was found in the computer. Flow troubleshooting chart directed them to replace transmission pressure control solenoid. GM also has a TSB # 901351on this problem which service manager gave me. I was able to add keyless entry to my wife's 2001 Honda Accord LX. I would like to do the same for my sister's 2003 Chevy Venture. Anyone out there know where to buy these "factory" add ons (other than the dealer) and if it's fairly easy? I do not want to buy aftermarket equipment where you have to chop things up.
