I was not considering an '06 Uplander in my car search but am glad I came across one. I tried it and I like it. The ride is smooth and quiet. The visabilty and handling are perfect. The mpg is about what I was getting in my Windstar LX (19 & 26) and the price is right. So far there have been no problems.
I really like the message center which displays information about gas, oil life, battery etc. Also the ease of using the DVD player it is so simple the grandchildren (or me) have no trouble doing it themselves.
Armrest and cup holders on the second row captains chairs would be about the only improvement I would ask for. Never noticed the captain's chairs didn't have them until after I bought the car. Also power outlets in the rear could have been more conveniently placed.
