Just got back May 23rd after leaving on the 14th of May to Memphis TN,and out west to Arizonia to the Grand Canyon, and over to Nevada to Las Vegas,Hoover Dam, then to Wyoming to Yellow Stone National Park, before heading back to Bowling Green KY.... While pulling a 2,000 lbs of a Pop-up Camper. I only got 16 miles to the gallon while towing camper trailer... But can honestly say that mechanically, driving, and the ride was excellent, didn't have any problems drove 4,995 miles including the trip back to Bowling Green KY... And I will add that we didn't let any grass grow at speed at 70-73 miles an hour even when we went through light rain showers.. It went right through the wet roads just fine..
Favorite Features
Handling,ride,and fun to drive....
Suggested Improvements
Improve Gas mileage, make Bose radio with 6 CD changer not to skip when you hit bump of any size.. Add Lumbar Support to Passenger side not just driver side... Also for better seeing in all weather conditions add Fog/Driving Lights to all TrailBlazers EXT not just few, replace Doors Weather Stripping

Trail Blazin
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT LS 4dr SUV (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
Definitely more bang for the buck. Very functional in design and the most comfortable 3'rd row seat ever. This SUV will turn on a dime. Any family should feel safe riding in this vehicle.
Favorite Features

Suggested Improvements
Could be better on gas mileage, but most SUV's are not that great on gas mileage anyway. We drive them for safety and functionality.

JUNK BUYER BEWARE
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT LS 4dr SUV 4WD (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
To sum it up I have been trying to give it back since 3 days after I bought it. In one year no exaggeration it has been in the shop at least 50 times. Four times LAST week with another appointment set up for next week. This vehicle is poorly made, maintained, assembled and all around junk.
Favorite Features
Don't laugh, it has a great heater and the horn works, thats the only good qualities about it.
Suggested Improvements
Junk the whole line and fire the designers/techs/and anyone else who thought of this horrible vehicle.

Really Disappointed
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT LT 4dr SUV 4WD (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
MPG= 15 regardless of city/highway. This vehicle has spent more time in the dealers shop than my garage. Trans, rear defr, a/c, engine bearing, brakes have all been serviced, some of them twice. I'm not hard to please, but this is the worst vehicle i've ever owned from a maintenance standpoint. (and they keep trying to upsell me some $500 maintenance package everytime i go to the dealer). I never had these issues with the Tahoe I owned prior to this.
Favorite Features
XM radio, rear door access
Suggested Improvements
How about some back seat leg room and mechanical integrity.

Good News & Bad News
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT LS 4dr SUV 4WD (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
Good News: Has lot of power, and it's comfortable for 3 kids, and 2 dogs. Bad News: 1 week after purchase, the air bag light kept coming on. Needed a new sensor. Then the OnStar would not work properly. Had to have that fixed. This winter, the molding on the hatch broke, last month, the starter was stuck. Luckily this was all under warranty. Not too happy with my Blazer being in the shop 4 times since the purchase of it 5 months ago.
Favorite Features
The room
Suggested Improvements
Need to have better workmanship on product if you want to have customers come back. 4 times in the shop in the last 5 months is not something that brings loyalty to your product. Fuel economy was rated at 18-22 miles. I have never seen more then 13 in town and 17 highway.

This is the best vehicle that we have ever owned. It is well designed, comfortable, very good appearance, and just plain fun to drive. We have owned this vehicle for approximately 3 months and it has not had any mechanical issues in that period.

Finally out of the minivan!
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT LS 4dr SUV 4WD (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
Yes, we finally got rid of the van! With three kids and a dog we wanted somethig with 3rd row seating. Wanted a midsize SUV, compared to Explorer with 3rd seat which seemed like a good vehicle but no room behind 3rd seat. The TrailBlazer was cheaper and had tons more room in the back. Very comfortable driving and very roomy. This vehicle has a nice sounding stereo and is nice to look at. So far we are very pleased. I am also 6'4" and plenty of head and leg room, even in back.
Favorite Features
3rd row seating with tons of room behind 3rd seat. Looks and comfort.
Suggested Improvements
More efficient engine, a few more storage areas, otherwise perfect.

Serious accident
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT LS 4dr SUV 4WD (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
Had a serious accident. I was hit on driver's side front tire full length of drivers side. $12000 in damage, but the good news is no injuries. No jarring inside. Nobody got a scrape or scratch or even a bruise, This thing totally protected us and there was no damage inside. I would definetly buy another one. They are fixing this one, but it gave us total protection in the accident. You can't beat that, and the damage was all cosmetic. The other car was totalled.

An Enjoyable Fun To Drive Machine
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT LT 4dr SUV 4WD (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I could not beleive the wonderful experience of driving the TrailBlazer LT. I traded in a truck for this SUV, and the experience has been the best. It's easier to drive than a car, and the comfort is very good. My family fits in and no complaints. The chairs, even the very last one at the back, are comfortable, even for long trips. We love it. Thanks GM!
Favorite Features
Comfort. Reliability. Easy to drive. Economical for its size. Good size
Suggested Improvements
Inner wood trim like GMC would be nice. They could add some storage at all doors. Reverse for music would be cool
