I just posted a message on a gas leak on the 2004 TB & forgot to mention this. I had about 60K miles on the straight 6 when I noticed an exhaust leak that got progressively worse. I brought it to a local shop who replaced it for me and was told when he went to the dealer for the part that "we have sold a few of these." I see it's been a few months since anything was posted on this subject. I found this info through a simple search and it has proved very helpful. I live in PA and about 2 weeks ago I detected an odor of gas near the rear of my 2004 TB Ext. I did not see any sign of a leak at 1st but after a few days I did notice a stain on the driveway. I bought my 2002 TB in 2004, just out of warranty, I have driven only Honda's, usually getting 250-300K before trading. Not sure what possessed me to buy a GM product, but I did, and since the day I drove her off the lot, I spent money, on average, $ 500-600 every 3-4 months just to keep the darn thing on the road. So here's a follow up for the previous post... I talked to to the dealer AND the Chevy customer support line, and both places denied that the Trailblazer was eligible to be fixed for free. I told them that I was literally staring at an attorney's website that explicitly states every 2004 Trailblazer owner with less than 70k miles will get the cluster fixed FREE.....and ...
